Surely the House will begin impeachment proceedings.

The list of impeachable offenses is stacking up.

What difference does it make?"

The list of 11 Senators, willing to publish their names on the letter mentioned in the article, should be made public. I agree with you, the offenses are starting to really stack up. Why are good men sitting idly by and doing nothing?

Your optimism is admirable, but I don’t see impeachment or conviction/removal by a Senate with a large ‘rat majority. I wonder if there are enough courageous GOP’ers in the House to achieve impeachment, even with the GOP majority there. Congress is not going to even slow this treasonous bastard down.

Excellent article. From the article:

........."According to the white paper, there are only three requirements to order a killing. First, "an informed high-level official of the U.S. government has determined that the targeted individual poses an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States." Second, capture is "infeasible." And third, the " operation would be conducted in a manner consistent with the applicable law of war principles." Indeed, from the white paper, it is not clear why killings of U.S. citizens on American soil would be judged by a different standard."......

....."Justice Department lawyers have produced a document worthy of the King Council's Court of Star Chamber -- concluding that the U.S. Constitution would not require the government to provide notice of charges, or a right to be heard, "before using lethal force" on a U.S. citizen suspected of terrorist activity against his country."..........

.........."If John Brennan is confirmed as CIA director, and the killings of U.S. citizens continue based on this whitewash of a white paper, then the U.S. Senate will have yielded up to the president without even a fight the power to kill citizens without judicial due process -- a power that has been unknown in the English-speaking world for at least 370 years.

Also, conspicuously missing from the Justice Department's constitutional analysis is any recognition that the Founders already balanced the life, liberty, and property interests of an American citizen suspected of "levying war against [the United States], or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort," and provided them the specific procedural protections in Article III of the Constitution.

One of the reasons that Obama doesn't want to make use of the legal device of charging them with treason (which is certainly applicable) is that he doesn't regard fighting against the US on the Muslim or leftist side as treason. Certainly, the Fort Hood shooter should have been tried for treason, as well as terrorism (instead, he still hasn't come to trial on anything, SFAIK, even "workplace violence").

The people he is choosing to take out are probably those who are considered inconvenient by some of his other radical Muslim buddies - perhaps rivals to control their organizations, people who don't like Obama's soulmate Ahmadinejad, etc. - but whatever it is, we don't have any idea on what basis he has really decided to blow them away.

There exists a mechanism for charging and trying someone for reason, and Obama is very intentionally not using it.

It’s interesting that all the Dems were from the left (even extreme left) wing of their party, and the three GOPers were all from the liberal wing of the GOP.

Obviously, politicians on the left don’t think people opposing the US should be killed for any reason or by any means, not even militarily on the battlefield. But at least they are calling Obama to task on the technicality of killing them “off the books,” so to speak.

He has seen the light. That is, he is enlightened.

He has learned that bad guy officers in severe boondocks can be exterminated. In a war, killing the enemy is a primary goal. Killing leaders is especially beneficial.

Far better to kill them in the boondocks than try to capture try and imprison them at Gitmo.

He has been taught by his military that the modern way to fight an asymmetric war is to learn the enemies habits and movements, sneak up on him and kill him. That is all a good thing

There is at least one old but very important precedent. The travel schedule of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto was learned via the Magic code breakers. His plane was intercepted and shot down. The process is the same today with drones.

Well we can all thank the House and Senate for stuff like the NDAA which gives the POS all kinds of unconstitutional powers. Don’t blame him for using it.

You are more than likely right.

Bill Clinton established Osama bin Laden as the top dog in the terrorist world by duping Bush to send troops into Somalia where bin laden was.

Then after the 1st WTC bombing they claiming the attack was because Bush had sent troops into Somalia.

With the “Blackhawk Down” incident bin Laden had defeated the Great Satan and ran us out of Somalia.

With that bin Laden became the top dog in the terrorist world.

Other terrorist organizations dared not plan an attack against the US for fear of disrupting an al Qaida attack.

The one time it did happen was the planned attack on NYC in October of 2005, the one Bloomberg popped his mouth off about after Bush asked him not to.

That attack was planned by that clown Zarquawi (SP?) out of Iraq. Shortly after that is when we started tracking him down with the help of al Qaida and he was turned into hamburger.

If you look at the terrorist attack since 1993 you will notice the dems and the left always have their talking points in place before the attack to match their spin after the attack.

The attempted car bombing in NYC is a perfect example.

Before the attack the dems and their allies in the MSM claimed the Tea party were violent and a bunch of Tim McVeigh wanna bees.

After the attempted bombing they said the fact it was a fertilizer bomb proved it was the Tea party.

The talking points before matched the spin after.

They couldn’t do that time and time again unless they were collaborating with the terrorist.

With a bunch of different terrorist organizations carrying out attacks they won’t have their talking points in place before the attack and their spin prepared for after the attack.

They need only one terrorist as top dog to be calling the shots and that top dog is working with the Zippo bunch.

The Assasin in Chief: Now the President operates as if he can kill anybody.

Throughout the history on humankind, this has been the modus operandi of most all African dictators. Why would Obama be any different? Maybe it's genetic? Just sayin...

That's dumb. Most all dictators of any race or nation act like they can kill anybody.

That's what gives dictatorship a bad name.

Michael: Oh. Who’s being naive, Kay?

This is true. What I probably should have said is most all heads of state of the African race are dictators. Not being racist, but that’s just the fact of the matter.

How would you like to have tried to survive under one of these regimes?

Charles Taylor – Liberia
Sekou Toure – Guinea
General Sani Abacha – Nigeria
Laurent Kabila – DR Congo
Kamuzu Banda – Malawi
Robert Mugabe – Zimbabwe
Mobutu Sese Seko – (Zaire) Congo
Jean-Bedel Bokassa - Central African Republic
Colonel Muammar Gaddafi - Libya
Idi Amin Dada – Uganda
Francisco Macías Nguema – Equatorial Guinea
General Gnassingbé Eyadéma – Togo
Paul Biya – Cameroon
Mengistu Haile Mariam – Ethiopia
Omar Al-bashir – Sudan
Siad Barre – Somalia
Hissene Habre - Chad

And of course what list would be complete without
Barack Hussein Obama - USA

Baraq looks really cool with those wraparound shades.

He should wear those for the SoU speech.
