Entire Miami Police Squad Fired After Footage Shows Cops Shopping, Dining & Kissing While Ignoring

An investigation into Miami police officers’ on-duty conduct found six officers were ignoring 911 calls while instead kissing their girlfriends, shopping, and drinking coffee.

One 911 call involved an unconscious five-month-old baby. Video footage shows Miami police officer Dario Socarras ignoring dispatch orders to save the child, while drinking coffee for nine minutes and lying to the dispatcher about being “en route”. Paramedics eventually reached the unconscious child, while Socarras never went – but still, the officer wrote in his daily report that he attended the scene.

And Socarras is only one of six officers caught neglecting their duties: after being followed and caught on surveillance video by Internal Affairs, two officers and a sergeant were fired and three were suspended without pay for dereliction of duty from the Miami Dade Police Department.

The footage of the incidents documents the department’s worst case of delinquency in its history.

Aside from ignoring the dispatch orders to save the unconscious baby, Socarras was also found to have ignored armed robbery and residential burglary calls. Instead, the officer was found kissing and cuddling with his girlfriend in the parking lot of a shopping mall on two different occasions.

Socarras was also caught misleading a crime victim, promising to fill out a police report about items that were stolen form her, while telling dispatchers that no crime had occurred. The officer proceeded to give the victim a phony case number.

But don’t worry about owning a gun. If one cop won’t respond, they’ll find another. In the meantime, try to negotiate with the robber/sarcasm

I suspect the Miami Blue who were fired will be welcomed with open arms by the Chicago PD

I dare anyone to name a more disgusting police force in the entire USA than that of the Miami crime org.
South Florida is notorious for cop crime but nothing is as bad as Miami....

Even though the investigation was conducted in 2010, the delinquent sergeant and officers were not penalized until late 2012.

A few years ago I was in a convenience store to buy bread. While I was there, it was held up at gunpoint and the clerk, manager and myself were padlocked in a store room. Unknown to the gunman, the store room had a phone. It took at least 8 or 9 calls to 911 to get the cops to come and let us out of the store room, 3 hours later. (Buffalo, NY)

What do you expect from union thugs protected by government thugs! Try filing a complaint against a cop. I did. You have no idea what they will do/say to protect “one of their own.” It’s “us” vs. “you!.” They even threatened me with a criminal charge if they “could prove” I was not telling the truth. To “protect and to serve,” yeah, themselves.

My thoughts exactly.

Now that the Chicago PD has announced it won’t even respond to 911 calls....

What’s the point of calling?

Meanwhile, over in Sanford, FL, George Zimmerman is being told that he should have waited for the PD to come to his rescue.

Gonzalez was caught shopping, loading purchases into her patrol car and visiting her parents — all while on duty — according to CBS 4′s Jim Defede, who first reported the investigation and its outcome. Socarras ignored emergency calls, including a robbery, instead having a romantic rendezvous with his girlfriend at the Dadeland Mall.

Guarantee you police corruption is rampant in the cities. You don’t really think all this drug gang activity goes on without payoffs.

Any time a citizen films the police they are told to turn over the phone/camera or they will be arrested. You also have prosecutors who want to charge citizens with anti wiretapping laws when they film the police because it’s either about officer safety or the citizen is obstructing the law. They have no problem filming you how ever unless there is a problem retrieving the tape showing how you fell,”accidentally”.
