.
My guess is that the burning truck is a decoy, and he rode out of there on a motorcycle that he carried up there in the truck.

I may be not seeing/reading everything, but it sure seems odd that he waited 3 whole years after being laid off to retaliate. Does it take that long to plot a murder spree?

Thank you.

I didn't see anything in this record that said that he told his training officer he was waiting for probation to be completed so that he could sue the department.

If I may ask, where did you get this information?

Source: "Evans would later tell internal affairs investigators that Dorner confessed to her on the first day they worked together that he was unhappy with the way the LAPD handled a complaint he made against some of his classmates in the academy, according to police records. He believed the LAPD was a racist organization and told Evans he planned to sue the department at the end of his probation period, Evans reported."
