Two women who were shot by Los Angeles police in Torrance early Thursday during a massive manhunt for an ex-LAPD officer were delivering newspapers, sources said.

The women, shot in the 19500 block of Redbeam Avenue, were taken to area hospitals, Torrance police Lt. Devin Chase said. They were not identified. One was shot in the hand and the other in the back, according to Jesse Escochea, who captured video of the victims being treated. It was not immediately known what newspapers the women were delivering...

You may be right. But apparently the police thought it was a Grey Nissan Titan, as seen in an AP photo (cannot be posted) at the following link — of an electronic highway information sign with the text:
Call 911
05 GRY NIS TITAN

Apparently the two women shot were driving vehicles the same make, model, year and color as that of the shooter

Different make, different model, different year, and different color. But otherwise, the vehicles were a perfect match to the suspect's.

His journey to this stage of rage, hate and murder was launched, according to his manifesto, because he alledges, a white cop said ‘nigger.’ He ordered the cop toforego saying that word and then choked the cop when he did not respond as ordered.

The accused racist cop was suspended with pay for almost a month; I assume while the incident was investigated. That the white man was paid during his suspension, enraged the angry race man. He did not want the white man to be paid during the suspension.

This incident was followed by him ratting out fellow officers for abusing a homeless man. He claims that he was fired because he ratted out police brutality and racism in the police department. He mentions he was suspended for accidently discharging his firearm.

Racial resentment and the idea of him possessing racial authority or superiority over inferior white peers, is at the center of his man’s ruined life and insanity.

He claims that as a child in a Christian school, he got into a fight with a white kid over the use of the racial slur mentioned above. Both boys were punished; him for fighting and the kid he accused for saying a bad word.

When he complained about the injustice of being punished, the principal told him that as a Christian, he is not to react violently when someone insults him; rather he is to turn the other cheek. This infuriated him as he sees it as his racial right and duty to dominate any white person who gets out of racial line - up to and including - entering into racial violence in an effort to force racial submission to his judgement, will and orders.

He’s on this path right now. He’s furious over what he sees as an inferior racist organization, refusing to submit to his racial judgement, authority and dominance. He’s progressed from ordering and beating those he deems racist, to conducting a race war against the morally inferior police department.

A left winger would look at him sympathically. They encourage Black racial judgement, dominance and punishment. A right winger would say he should have listened to that Christian principal and moved beyond the racial rage personality that has ruined his life and corrupted his soul.

I once learned from a wise man that when someone is mean to you in an interaction and it hurts and you take in anger and resentment about it, you have taken their error or corrupt personality inside yourself and used it against yourself by holding it to you with anger and resentment. Meanness belongs to them - not you. A reaction of anger and resentment does not hurt them; it is poisonous feelings that hurt you. The meanness of another does not have anything to do with you, so give it back to them and walk away free. Forgiving means giving corruption back to the corrupt one and releasing yourself from the emotional poison and weakness it was intended to implant within you. It does not mean forgetting what happened or not seeking an appology or justice under the law. Forgiveness is release from an emotional twistedness that evil creates. That is the process of releasing yourself from evil which is the wisdom behind the missive to ‘turn the other cheek.’

This cop’s whole personality and life is dominated by the resentment and anger he has taken in over the evil he perceives within others. He’s poisoned himself with the darkness of historical and present day white racism. The left encourages and rationalizes his self destruction which is why he finds himself sympathic to left wingers.

It is not your grammar that I am taking issue with. It is your failure to hold the police to the same standard as they would hold us to. If you or I were to say as the LAPD police chief said ““Tragically, we believe this is a case of mistaken identity,” Beck said.” how do you think we would be treated. This is at a time when the politicians and police would love to disarm us; we must hold them to the same standard if not a higher one.

Trust me I hold them higher, I was an LEO for awhile and in IA. I was not liked for holding the higher standard.

Glad to hear they’ve lawyered up. Note that they weren’t cited for driving without lights, i.e., that was an after-the-fact lie by the LAPD to justify their shooting of unarmed civilians.

You may be right.

And I may be wrong. I went to the link. Looked at the photo of the truck caught by highway camera. That is a Titan. But it looks blue to me, not gray. Who knows? I've been wrong before.

I think we are doing well in beating back the group speak and power of leftists in most places. The ones who dive into this frenzy and attack the second amendment, will pay during ensuing elections.

The people who are taken in by the mob hysteria are not motivated by thought and conviction; they are reacting emotionally. It’s not a cause that will stay with them and that they will fight for next month or next year. Gun owners and second amendment rights people, on the other hand, will be around with a reflective message, organized and ready to get political retribution. We saw what happened to Clinton and his minions when he ran this political witch hunt against guns, gun owners and the right to self defense.

When I was a kid and some other kid called another names, most of us kids would just say, “sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me”. What happened to that philosophy?

"an after-the-fact lie by the LAPD to justify their shooting of unarmed civilians."

Just to keep things straight, exercising your Second Amendment, G-d Given, Bill of Rights to carry a gun does not give the LAPD justification to shoot you either.

But you knew that.

Wow.

From the comments:

“The cops need to look at this closely because this is what can happen when ONE person comes after them with the will to act. Now imagine how they will fare if they enrage a large segment of the population with gestapo tactics. They don’t survive because they are tough. They survive because the population ALLOWS them to. It might be important to remember that.”

This is such an important point, and one that hadn’t yet been clarified in my mind. These cops are too scared to think because ONE guy might be hunting them. How are they going to react when they start disarming people and dozens or hundreds are hunting them?

I see you got some good answers about the relative power of the 5.56 cartridge but my point was ‘why aren’t they calling those ARs “assault weapons?” Do they become something different when the guy holding them has a badge?

That is how the Black Panthers got started in Oakland, California. They were one of several defense-against-police-brutality neighborhood groups created because the Oakland PD beat black kids who didn't run from them, and shot those who did. After a long while people started aiming rifles from windows at the Oakland PD when they entered black neighborhoods.

Charles Gain was appointed chief of the Oakland PD to stop this, and did. His solution was with report requirements. Officers had to write reports every time they drew their weapon, longer reports every time they fired it, and humongous reports when they shot someone. Anyone Chief Gain wanted to get rid of had to rewrite those reports umpteen times based on his incredibly detailed corrections until they resigned. This got trigger-happy officers off the streets almost at once, and got the rest to be careful not to give Chief Gain a reason to get rid of them.

A cop in Houston fired five rounds at a perp. Missed every shot. These guys must have fired at least 20 rounds and only had two hits. It’s a good thing for the citizens of this country that most cops can’t shoot worth a damn. It ain’t like it is in the movies.
