Obama is going to push this nation to a tipping point where true patriots will begin to use civil diobedience to push back. If he thinks that true patriots will roll over and take his Marxist/Facist agenda, he will be surprised. Even his Chicago thugs have no chance against well-armed rednecks. I also believe that our military will not obey illegal, un-Constitutional orders to fire upon their own citizens, so he will have to call in UN troops. They haven’t seen what rednecks are capable of, either. We are Patriots. We will not lie down and allow the Government to roll over us.

Perhaps Obobo has no intention of leaving office as he’ll just write an Executive Order (which violates Article 1, Section 1)which over rides the 22nd Amendment. As pointed out in the article, he’s willingly violated every provision of the Constitution already at least once.

I have spoken to many military personnel lately. It is clear to me they do not like or approve of the Kenyan Muslim Traitor in the WH who has sold them out by putting their men in harms way for political gain and arming our enemies. He will be in for a big surprise if he orders them to fire on innocent civilians. They just may see a Trident missile aimed at their own if they keep violating the Constitution and committing treasonous acts against The People...

Why do you suppose BO is making public, his policy of being able to target and kill Americans who he sees as a threat.

It’s NOT about Drones and Islamists, dear!

One thing that should be pointed out is that not one single Republican voted for it. The Dems had enough to pass it on their own, and they did, with Nancy Pelosi spurring them to completely abandon earlier attempts to work out a more moderate plan and instead to do whatever Obama wanted.

I agree that the Republicans probably didn’t fight as effectively as they might have, but I think at that point, nobody had yet been able to make that mental leap to realizing how completely lawless and unconstrained by either law or custom this Administration is. One of the reasons we’re seeing a bit more agressive behavior, even from unlikely sources, is that we are finally all acknowledging the unthinkable truth, which is that we have a dictator in office who has no respect for our laws and our procedures.

It’s the Cloward and Piven strategy - collapse the civil society and come in and remake it into a socialist paradise - doing whatever you need to do in the process (think hollow-tipped bullets).

I have no doubt this is their plan. We’ve got to stand strong no matter what.

I blame the media more than anyone else. They have completely gone over to the dark side. They no longer deserve their 1st Amendment protections as they have usurped their role as the 4th Estate watchdogs of our Republic, and have become the 5th column communist accomplices to our marxist led government. The media cannot be one-sided in a free society if that society is to remain free. The nation appears to be equally divided, our half mostly pays for the other. We buy the newspapers and other media products more so than the welfare recipient supporting Obama. We can, and should, change that! Cancel your subscriptions, stop supporting Hollywood and their leftist agenda, let their cronies support them. We can make a difference. The media must be figuratively “burned to the ground” so that a new, honest, and truthful media can arise from the ashes. I’m not calling for violence, or vandalism, or arson, but if push comes to shove, and the various scenarios outlined in the posts above come to fruition, then the media must be included when it’s time to take out the trash.

No, or to refine that, not within his term of office. It's too soon. What he and his administration are doing is testing the limits of the envelope and expanding it where possible. They're not ready for open warfare...yet.

However, if an opportunity presents itself they'll happily roll with it. Look at how suddenly the gun control shrieking started once that opportunity presented itself, and recall the sneering denial that it would be attempted, so very shortly before it began.

Their job - and there are people within and about the administration such as Van Jones and William Ayers who have openly admitted it - is to disarm, destabilize, demoralize, and divide their opponents. That's the strategy, and we've four years of it ahead.

CWII Ping! This one is a bullseye hit on the CWII Ping List.

Hat tip to the ever vigilant DuncanWaring!

About the CWII Ping List

The CWII Ping List is short for Civil War II. It is NOT a list of people advocating another Civil War in America. It is a list of people who are interested in the parallels between the Civil War (or War Between the States, if you prefer) and our current situation, or more generally are noting the references to a 'coming Civil War' that are made in the press.

FR rules do not permit advocating for the overthrow of the Republic, and I am not aware of anyone doing so on the list. Still many do see that as the political climate worsens we may be heading in a direction that makes such a conflict all but inevitable, particularly if other avenues for resolving our differences are taken away. Such as widespread vote fraud by leftists making elections meaningless, or a small cadre of judges over-ruling all attempts to end destructive policies over the clear will of the people.

Please Freep Mail me to get on the list.

Pretty overwrought. Obama might want to create some version of the Western European welfare state, but it's doubtful that he'd want to bring full-on Leninism to the US. The confusion between two versions of "socialism" or "Marxism" fuels a lot of feverish speculation, as does Obama's early radicalism.

People are always quick to see politicians on their own side as weak, wishy-washy creatures devoid of willpower or resolve, and those on the other side as superhumanly cunning and devoted to achieving some monstrous goal.

That's rarely the case in countries with long-established democratic and constitutional traditions. What politicians do may wreck the country, but that's not usually their goal, and whatever good or ill they achieve they rarely want to set themselves up as dictators for life.

That's not the way their minds have been shaped by years on politics. It's largely been a matter of achieving more limited goals within the existing system.

Fomenting civil war or revolution or establishing a dictatorship isn't worth all the aggravation and effort, especially since former presidents can live such cushy and untroubled lives and dictators have to watch their back every minute of every day.

We went through all this with Clinton and Bush, but I suppose all the fevered speculation about evil plots won't end anytime soon. I guess that to care at all about politics it helps to believe that the loss of everything is a real and close possibility.

Does anyone remember the 1990’s and people like Linda Thompson and Bo Gritz?

I have my reasons for asking.

It is a great mistake to suppose that the paper we are to propose will govern the United States. It is the men whom it will bring into the Government and interest in maintaining it that is to govern them. The paper will only mark out the mode and the form. Men are the substance and must do the business. ~ John Francis Mercer

A war in the US, especially a civil war, would theoretically give dear leader just about everything he wants:

An excuse to “temporarily postpone elections”, enact martial law/emergency powers, nationalize the private sector, impose rationing, suppress free speech, etc. Isn’t that how all dictatorships come to power?

So yes, it would not surprise me in the slightest if he was hoping for such a thing...but I dare say he doesn’t realize how much he’d be biting off.
