The Voter Fraud That ‘Never Happens’ Keeps Coming Back
National Review Online ^ | 2/8/2013 | John Fund

Critics of photo ID and other laws cracking down on voter fraud claim they’re unnecessary because fraud is nonexistent. Brennan Center attorneys Michael Waldman and Justin Levitt claimed last year: “A person casting two votes risks jail time and a fine for minimal gain. Proven voter fraud, statistically, happens about as often as death by lightning strike.”

Well, lightning is suddenly all over Cincinnati, Ohio. The Hamilton County Board of Elections is investigating 19 possible cases of alleged voter fraud that occurred when Ohio was a focal point of the 2012 presidential election. A total of 19 voters and nine witnesses are part of the probe.

Democrat Melowese Richardson has been an official poll worker for the last quarter century and registered thousands of people to vote last year. She candidly admitted to Cincinnati’s Channel 9 this week that she voted twice in the last election.

The other side of the voter-fraud debate is "why are republicans trying to take away the vote from poor people?" I believe that is a red herring. Nothing in any laws I've seen proposed, let along passed, blocks poor people from voting. "But poor people can't afford the cost of getting a valid ID." Wrong. The limo liberals are well capable of putting their wallets where their mouths are, and assist the poor in getting IDs. Indeed, they wouldn't have to park at the DMV or wherever to lend that aide, they could set up a fund against which DMV can levy charges for people who can't afford IDs.

The problem with that idea, though, is that Democrats would be paying out money to prevent fraud, which is by all reports not in their best interest. So the fraud goes on.

As long as there are electronic voting machines, the democrats will control the white house.
