In Hacked Emails, Bushes Prepare for George's Death (And self-portrait of W showering)

(Newser) – A hacker has breached the personal email accounts of several Bush family members and friends, and discovered that the family was actively preparing for George HW Bush's death during his recent hospital stay. In material given to the Smoking Gun, the former president's chief of staff sent Bush's children a message saying, "Your dad's funeral team is having an emergency meeting at 10am," adding that this info "fell under the broadening category of things NOT TO TELL YOUR MOTHER."

George W. Bush also said he was "thinking about [a] eulogy" in a Dec. 26 email. "Hopefully I'm jumping the gun. But since the feeling is that you all would rather me speak than bubba, please help." (The "bubba" in question apparently being Bill Clinton.) Jeb suggested talking about how Bush helped Clinton "restore his sordid reputation"—though he added it "might be tough to say it that way in a eulogy with President 42 there." The emails also contain several family photos, and the world's first look at the paintings of George W. Bush, including self-portraits of him showering and taking a bath.

Apparently, this is a self-portrait painted by George W. Bush.

Anyone with a conscience wouldn’t have released those e-mails.

Certainly, that statement does not apply to leftist hackers or the MSM (who will be all over this) - who will say, or do, literally anything to embarrass Bush.

We are taking the word of a hacker that these emails are legit?

What does “bizarre” refer to?

Any family chit chat emails hacked into could sound bizarre to others. It’s none of anybody’s business. They are private citizens.

W took up painting? Nothing wrong with that. I can’t comment on the subject matter alleged in the story...not enough info.

Don’t get me wrong...I don’t want more info. It’s none of my business.

Or “bizarre” might refer to the fact that somebody hacked into their communications and now there’s a story about it. Actually I can imagine some Leftist dirtbag doing just that. Sure it’s wrong, but not necessarily “bizarre” -for a Leftist.

Anyone who watched the evening news in Houston was thinking about GHWB’s funeral. The man was in the hospital for over 2 months with a cough. I never expected him to get out. GWB’s art work is funny, I would love to end up in an art class with him one day. Not gonna happen but it would be so much fun.

The VP just called Poland Portugal —but the media loves THIS.

Hey what if QUAYLE had confused those two countries, eh...?

You mean George W. has a father and intact family?

For the last couple of DemonRat presidents, this hasn't been an issue.

Heck, the subject matter of those paintings may not even be the point. He may have just been exploring how to paint different types of water.

My grandmother went on a kick of painting all sorts of objects in melting blocks of ice for a while. She was a very fine still life artist but she painted for herself trying to perfect the capture of mundane details of light and water. Her subject choices were chose by the challenge they presented, didn’t have anything to do with the subject itself.

And while she was painting, the outside world was on hold.
