All Your Freedom of Movementt Are Belong to Government
Fines and jail if you survive the drone strike.
How does he expect people to get home?
Oh please...What is up with these people? I’m looking out my Massachusetts window right now...Color me unimpressed so far.
“...There are currently 1,000 National Guard troops, and Patrick said nearly 5,000 would be in place over the course of the weekend...”
The ruling class sure does think they are smart these days.
Fine them $500.00 and give them a year in jail...and let them out in the middle of the next blizzard?
And what if you don’t know about it? Not everyone has a TV.
All your home are belong to US (gov that is).
And out of curiosity, how are people who work 9-5 supposed to get home?
Don’t let an opportunity to impose your tyrannical will go to waste...
Ignorance of the Edict-of-the-Minute is no excuse...??
If I lived in Mass I would be raising holy blazes over his single handed declaration of martial law and the suspension of personal liberty.
The people of Mass are ruled like SERFS, or slaves... because they let themselves be ruled as such.
What about 2nd and 3rd shift at hospitals and other emergency workers.
I worked ICU during a blizzard once.. 16 hr days, slept on site. Got pretty old after 3 days.
I’m in Chatham, been raining for past two hours, heading out for a drive shortly.
If "Universal" background checks (except for criminals) goes through, instead of "vehicle" enter "background checks on gun sales". Viola! Instant gun ban. Now imagine this on a "National Emergency".
That happened in California during their latest riot. "Public Safety" you know (cough).
Get after your Congressman and Senator on this point.
When is this ban supposed to be lifted?
I just got a recorded call from my son’s college telling me that Governor Patrick had done this. I laughed into the phone and yelled, “I’m in New Hampshire! Ha!!!!” Now I have to go see if our liberal governor did the same....not that I plan on going anywhere, lol.
Makes you wonder if they are “testing” to see how this works.
Snowstorm is the “emergency” of today, justifying a travel ban,
what could it be next year?
What did we do before this storm? How did we survive all these years?
What’s next mandatory a/c purchases in hot summers?
What if you run a plowing business?
Get low on beer?
public transit shut off at 3:30
I work for postal service and our facility shut down for the first time in about 25 years.
A car just went by my house (4:05pm)
There’s 4” inches of the white stuff on the ground - crazy people!
I have taken a picture of the license plate and will text it to Dear Governor Mini-Me Zero
We the Proletariat
Excuse me? Under WHAT legislation does the fascist admirer of the Kenyan Assclown purport to enforce this rule?
A year in jail sounds commensurate with the crime of driving on a snowy day! How about just tell everyone that if they go out and get stuck, no one will be sent to rescue them - at least that would encourage personal responsibility. If you are a conservative and live in Mass, what the hell is wrong with you?
What happens if you are a farmer or rancher and have to take care of animals?
Sucks to be you i guess..
LOL at the newly-minted libertarians who would expect the gubmint to come rescue them the moment they got stuck in a drift.
When your betters say so.
medical-emergency, utility, media, first responders are excepted
Geeze, I can remember my Dad driving us from New Jersey to Ohio on the PA Turnpike in a snow storm in the wee hours of the night. Probably 6” of snow, dark, no visibility but he was motivated. The trucks had all pulled over but Dad kept going. 2 wheel drive Chevy, probably a Bel-Air or Biscayne.
Screw these public nazis. Tell me I can’t do what I want to do.
What's up with up to 5000 National Guard troops being called in?
They're making it sound like Snowpocalyse.
It is about Democrats and RINOs accumulating POWER ...
not the accumulation of snow.
Maybe memories of what happened in Dec of 2007; then, a Fri afternoon, snow on the way; order given at 1 pm to send state workers etc home. MASSIVE traffic jams.
I was supposed to be at work by 6 pm. I left here at 3 pm
to travel 18 miles.
I got to work at 6:30 pm.
In better weather, I could get to Burlington VT (219 miles away) in that time. Anyway, schools let out. Work let out.
Malls (it was Dec., shoppers) etc.—massive traffic jam.
Drive in the snow...1 year in jail.
Steal $1,200,000,000.00 from MF Global...nothing
Unless you are a fecal faced leftist member of the elite media. sheesh...a year in jail?
‘It’s not Illegal to be an Illegal in Massachusetts’
It’s Illegal to drive when it’s snowing
See post #21
“medical-emergency, utility, media, first responders are excepted”
Officer: Sir, show me your license. Do you know its against the law to be driving now, except for authorized vehicles?
Driver: I’m a member of Free Republic.
State Roads closed at 4:00 PM
Public transit shut off at 3:30
What could possibly go wrong?
At least the Governor won’t have to sleep on the streets tonight.
How are they going to enforce it if EVERYONE ignores it?
They just going to pick and choose who to arrest?
God help the out-of-staters.
Buffalo gets all the bad publicity. Try lining in the snow belt.
I’ve seen it come down 5 inches an hour in Oswego County and it never made the national news.

Given this 8th day of February in the year of our Lord two thousand and thirteen at 12:15PM.
DEVAL L. PATRICK, GOVERNOR
Commonwealth of Massachusetts
How are people supposed to get to the gas station, grocery store or hardware store if they are not allowed to be on the road.
Yup, I am with you. This is a dry run for the USURPER.
Great point!! What the hell is up with liberals and their power trips anyway?
