NEW YORK NFL greats Emmitt Smith, Deion Sanders, Michael Irvin, LaDainian Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk are appearing in a public service announcement in favor of gun law reforms. The spot released Friday is paid for by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, which was founded by New York City's Michael Bloomberg and Boston's Thomas Menino. A solemn Smith speaks into the camera: "For the children of Sandy Hook Elementary." ...

They’ve always been known for their brains.
I remember in Baraq’s 2008 campaign, he had a lot of radio spots featuring a Pittsburgh Steelers player talking about how Baraq would NEVER change gun laws.
Yeah, about that “mayors against illegal guns”,
new gun laws should fix it, right?
And I don’t care how sincere these guys feel, tools and willing tools.
No Ray Lewis??
I think Ray is more into knife gigs....
He prefers knives.
Mayors against illegal guns? Guns which are inanimate objects and therefore they can only be illegal based on the person brandishing them. But these same Mayors support illegal immigration which by its legal title means a crime was committed.
Makes perfect sense.
Wow, right at the same time.
Isn’t a one of them worth holding up as any kind of hero anyway. Go away you buncha has-beens.
Guys who know they can’t be trusted with guns projecting their own proclivities onto everybody else.
Nicely done, synched to the second!
What? Ray Lewis wasn’t in it?..........
Ya think that any of these guys consider the Punk to be their Lord and Saviour?
Well sure, why wouldn’t they want law-abiding, non-leftist elite whites disarmed? We make better crime victims that way.

Just ask them: NFL players care less about their brains than you do

Why should we care anyway which official powers oppose the Second Amendment, when Obama signs orders enforcing non-enforcement of our borders and immigration law? This is one blatantly, openly, brazenly hypocritical administration and supporters. We need “sanctuary cities” for law-abiding (according to our Constitution) gun owners.
Each and every one of those players had major security teams on the sidelines for the games they played on the field.

If other groups (ie illegal aliens) can practice non-compliance with Constitutional laws, then we can practice non-compliance with unConstitutional ones. I think it’s going to come to that, and I include non-registration. That only makes you a sitting duck for them.

Besides sports, what do these 5 men have in common?
(cue tune from jeopardy)
Just another reason why I’m turning my back on the NFL.
If they said the sky was blue, I'd run a spectroscopic analysis to verify their claim.
Buncha liberal jerks. I only say that because I know some of them.

All thugs.
I was thinking this might be players from the 60s and 70s and preparing to be disappointed. But these are idiot recent players.
He made several radio spots for a Democratic "Gun Rights" front group, called the AHSA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Hunters_and_Shooters_Association, including campaign ads for 0bama in 2008.
Go to youtube, and you can find several of AHSA's commercials. No Pittsburgh players appear in any of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TURyJiOdD8Y
After 0bama's election, this front for Handgun Control, Inc (Now The Brady Campaign) very quietly died.
Sorry, but these guys are only football players. Actors are only actors. If I want advice on guns, I go to my gun dealer. He says “Buy lots of guns. Buy high capacity magazines. Buy military type weapons.” So far his advice has been spot on since all my purchases are now twice the value of when I bought them.
Where are their names on the Declaration of Independence? I don’t see Emmitt Smith or Deion’s name on the U.S. Constitution? They must be there somewhere?
FWIW 60% current players on the local team (formerly known as the Baltimore Colts) are gun owners, at least per comments from the coach on a survey taken in training camp.
They have roughly the combined IQ of a burlap bag?
Not to be undiplomatic or cruel, but isn’t it a major issue right now about NFL players BRAIN DAMAGE? So why should we take their opinions seriously. Athletes and actors are not at the peak of the intelligence pyramid.
Never heard of the guy.
Maybe it was him.
Given the Steelers close ties with Obama, I just figured it was one of them.
This is only because many of the NFL players are felons.
I’d like for Baraq and Rhambo to deputize these guys, and send them (along with the Million Moms for Gun Control) into Chicago next summer to clean out all the illegal guns.
Hmmm, I even live in MD. I just remembered that he was a thug. Hard to get choked up over his retirement.
Hmmm - Drug Abusers Against Guns - nice.
Strange how they can't get Black football greats to talk about inner-city Blacks killing each other in record numbers.
The Steelers don’t have “close ties” to 0bama, Dan Rooney does.
Wanna bet that members of their posses are packing?
I don’t follow sports, so I don’t know who any of those people are, but judging by the monikers - I would guess the majority are Amish football players.
I’m only interested in what Jack Lambert has to say.

I find it a little racist that they are all African-American but that’s just me.
Just as is the case with the rest of the country, about half of the Steeler people who are political are 0bama fans, and about half aren't. That includes the Rooney family as well, which is split right down the middle. A conservative Florida Congressman who is part owner (named, oddly, Rooney) was not happy about his relative's public support for Zero. James Harrison, the defensive player of the year the last time the Steelers won the Superbowl was also not amused.
Typical of the nonsense you Steeler haters post is the crap that I just responded to. Stop spreading lies. No Steeler did a pro (or anti) RKBA radio spot for 0bama, and you know it. And if you didn't know it -- which I doubt -- you know it now, so don't keep repeating it.
YES! Whatcha wanna bet she’s got a pistol or revolver in her purse?
BTW, that picture is from Israel. School teachers there have been armed for some time.
The owner donated so much $$ and support that Baraq made him Ambassador (those don’t come cheap).
The head coach is a major financial and campaign supporter.
Many of the current and former players are financial and campaign supporters.
Nobody’s pretending, it’s all documented.
Post the names.
idiots. Screw them all.
Here’s a start
