NEWTOWN - Two months ago, Newtown High School choral director Sabrina Post was placed on leave. Administrators wouldn’t say why, citing school policy and Post’s privacy rights.
That upset some parents and students, who thought Post, the senior class adviser and coordinator of the school musical, deserved a chance to give her side of the story.
This week, parents and students got an explanation.
Police arrested Post, 47, and charged her with attempting to collect thousands of dollars from the school district by using bogus expense vouchers and other means.
In some cases, according to court records, she altered invoices before requesting compensation from the school district.
