BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. – All that was left were footprints leading away from Christopher Dorner's burned-out pickup truck, and an enormous, snow-covered mountain where he could be hiding among the skiers, hundreds of cabins and dense woods.

More than 100 officers, including SWAT teams, were driven in glass-enclosed snow machines and armored personnel carriers to hunt for the former Los Angeles police officer suspected of going on a deadly rampage to get back at those he blamed for ending his police career.

Video of LAPD Conf at mtn site.

The government wants to limit law abiding citizens to 7 round clips.

Two highly trained professional law enforcement officers, when confronted by 2 unarmed elderly women delivering newspapers, were unable to take either of them out with over 50 rounds.

And they expect ordinary citizens to be able to protect themselves from armed and dangerous home invaders with no more than 7 bullets?

The news in LA reported yesterday that he had multiple license plates with him, so he probably has multiple IDs as well. Who knows what he’s driving now, if he’s driving at all — but he does seem to be covering a lot of ground.

Yes, I’m sure he’s a long way from Big Bear now.

An ex-cop on a local LA radio program yesterday explained how police officers have multiple badges, not like in the movies.

Two highly trained professional law enforcement officers, when confronted by ambushing 2 unarmed elderly women delivering newspapers, from behind, were unable to take either of them out with over 50 rounds.

There. Fixed.

Bingo.

Leaving “clues” everywhere and nowhere. He has no family, no support (we think) and therefore has nothing to lose. That makes him LETHAL.

I feel sorry for all the civilians getting shot up by LAPD. They truly look like amateur retards. I’m amused because of the “bad mofo” vibe the balaclava wearing, spec op wannabes that make up some of the LAPD have and are finding out what REAL spec operators deal with and what real combat in a FAO is.

Its not busting down doors of grannies or wrong addresses and killing dogs and innocent civilians but having to REALLY have your head on a swivel and really have muzzle control and really deal with shoot-no shoot scenarios. Now they’re acting like I always suspected they would.

Those involved in shooting the civilians should be fired and charges filed. At the very least their pensions should be held for civil liability as compensation.

I heard that was probably a Mexican drug gang hit.

For those keeping store, I believe the cops have now shot more people that he has. Of course, being lousy shots, so far the cops have scored no kills. I’m sure that will change.

I'm with ya on this one. The following is a little poem regarding all the media hype here in SoCal over this
When in danger
When in doubt
Run in circles
Scream and shout

Not in the LA area. He looks like an awful lot of the populace of South Central/Watts/etc, and I am NOT talking about his skin color.

I’m not sure this nutcase is all that prepared. In the video at the link it claims that after the rope got wrapped up in the propeller (Ha!) he “became frustrated”. Perhaps he had a Plan A (steal a boat) and a Plan B

He's got you confused. Less than 3 hours after he was "frustrated" in San Deigo, he stages an ambush in Corona 100+miles north, then another 20minutes later in Riverside. He's working to a plan.

I don’t think so. I feel he gained a lot of weight just so he could go on his “mission” and then get thin again. Shouldn’t take long in a stressful situation. His hair and beard will grow...he’ll drop weight and then hide in plain sight. JMTC

The “Great Escape” during World War II tied up millions of German soldiers. They were just 76 unarmed escapees. Almost all were captured but they drained manpower from the war effort.

If you factor-in the number of family dogs shot, the cops are way ahead. Sadly.

“...glass-enclosed snow machines...”

Packed-in tight, it’d be a great shooting gallery.

This’ll all be “over”, in the field. No perp walks, here. Just a tag & bag op.
