Thousands Oppose Governor O’Malley’s Ill-conceived Gun Bills

Wednesday I traveled to Annapolis to testify in opposition to SB 281, the painfully misnamed “Firearms Safety Act of 2013.” .. Media outlets counted “hundreds” but there were probably at least 5,000. According to the office of Senate Judiciary Proceedings Committee Chairman Brian Frosh, 2,444 people originally signed up to testify. Another 200 or so signed handwritten sheets to voice their opinions. Within the Miller Senate Office Building, the hearing room and two overflow rooms were closed as they reached their rated capacity. The hallways were jammed with people. Thousands of people milled about the State House courtyard outside. I was told it was likely the largest crowd ever signed up to testify in Maryland history. They have not taken a count of supporters vs. opponents, but most opposed. There were actually four gun-related bills slated for discussion: SB 281, SB 266, SB 420 and SB 228, but the primary focus was SB 281. Hearings began at approximately 1:00 p.m. Chairman Frosh allotted eight hours for testimony, four hours for each side. Governor O’Malley began the testimony, stating in his remarks that they were only making “sensible” proposals and weren’t trying to take away anyone’s gun rights. In response, Carroll County Senator Joseph Getty relayed concerns from retired law enforcement members in his community who had faced death threats from criminals, afraid their gun rights would be lost. O’Malley replied without irony that there would be exceptions for law enforcement.Thirty-three people testified in support of the bill, primarily Democrats in various state and local government posts who Governor O’Malley could rely on for political support, and a few “expert witnesses.” A few local leftist advocacy groups also testified. They told us not to worry about the Second Amendment because, after all, the U.S. Constitution was a “living document.”

“Living Document” is left-speak for “Dead Letter”.

To understand O'Malley you have to :
(A)Understand the incredibly beautiful state of Maryland
(B) Understand the Afro-American/Democrat Relationship

(A)
Maryland is very largely a state inhabited by normal Americans. But Baltimore and the area between it and DC is more like Lagos, Nigeria, or Timbuctoo in Mali than it is like a normal American city. The environs are inhabited by two classes of government-dependent people: Welfare recipients and goverment employees.

(B)
The Democrat Party offers the only politically correct interpretation of "Black-on-Black" violent crime. Crime in the African-American Community is entirely the fault of "White America and Capitalism." BTW, "White America" means those tax payers of any race who are being bled white to pay for African-American-friendly political correctness.

You see, the capitalist system makes guns which "they" know will magically jump into the hands of government-supported ghetto residents who absolutely will tend to use them on each other... because of racism. If there were no guns, these people would be paragons of virtue. They would wake up early to work hard and entrepreneurially to become economically viable, self-supporting Americans and solid citizens. The illegitimate birth rate would fall from 90%+ to '0.' Drug addiction would end. Crime would become insignificant.

These facts are of course, as indisputable as night following day. Therefore, the goals of saving African-American lives and achieving economic success within that community can be achieved by far-seeing gun control legislation. Governor O'Malley is just the man to push through this sort of desperately needed law. Until he is replaced by a "Black" governor who belongs to the Democrat Party, he must receive the votes of every African-American in Maryland, and will.

O'Malley and every other Democrat running for statewide office benefit from the other traditionally Leftist ani living in the zone between Baltimore and DC, too. Together African-Americans and the numerous gov-job Leftists form a solid majority, far outnumbering the more reasonable-appearing residents of the rest of the state. Just to make doubly sure of victory, the Democrats have a vote fraud machine in Maryland that is awesome in scope and power. There are people in Baltimore who have been registered since 1789 and who never fail to vote as early and as often as needed.

Maryland is lost to reason.
