BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. The hunt in the snowy mountains for a former Los Angeles police officer suspected in three killings continued Saturday as police announced they will reopen the disciplinary proceedings that led to the fugitive's firing. Officials will particularly re-examine Christopher Dorner's allegations that his law enforcement career was undone by racist colleagues, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck told KCBS-TV. He also urged Dorner to surrender.
"If he was to give himself up, we'd be happy to hear what he has to say," Beck said. Authorities suspect Dorner in a series of attacks in Southern California over the past several days that left three people dead, including a police officer. Authorities say he has vowed revenge against several former LAPD colleagues who he blamed for ending his career.
A scaled-back search party took advantage of a break from stormy weather Saturday to hunt for Dorner in the San Bernardino mountains using heat-sensing helicopters. Officers also fanned out in fresh snow near Big Bear Lake as vacationing families and weekend skiers frolicked nearby.

Just reading his Manifesto...I think this guy is dumb like a fox and is playing the LAPD for suckers. He’s probably no where near Big Bear by now and iprobabl figures he already wrote what he wants them to hear. He sounds pissed off but not nuts. Although, having Bush 41 and Clinton as his favorite Presidents makes me wonder....
A Huntsman supporter! We knew there were a few out there....
My bet is that he can try to surrender but he will be shot down if no reporters are present. If reporters are present, he will die on the ride to the police station because of an escape attempt or attack on the officers.
Under orders from Eric the Red via Obamugabe, no doubt.
do you think he was just copy and pasting things from websites for camouflage of some type, a distraction?

Has anyone seen the story I heard about thru a third party about this ex-cop owning a Barrett .50 caliber rifle???
I heard form someone who saw the story broadcast on FoxNews about this new development...
IIRC, even Law Enforcement cannot own or posess a .50 caliber rifle in that state...Unless, if it was grandfathered in before the law was changed to ban such posession, and even then I believe those particular rifles have to be registered...
I stand to be corrected, but I figure thats ok, because I know what the implications, yet again, of such information being released through a media outlet can be utilized by those who want to further demogog our Second Amendment rights, to create a concern/fear/panic in the general public in the area where they believe this ex-cop is holing up waiting to commmit his next move...
I’d like to find out (ultimately) who the source of the information given to FoxNews was...Because I figure we’ll figure out the purpose of such a story, whether it turns out to be true or not...
I know, they report, we decide...So, I’m just trying to figure out if there is a need to decide on this facet of this story...

Could also be that claiming to be a friend of the king is paying off with perks. Can’t have a professed Obozo-lover being a murderer now, can we?
Ping
even if reporters are present they will write/say what Obama wants them to
Try to imagine this poison-brained cretin serving as a veteran LAPD officer.
His manifesto was a suicide note.
I just read his manifesto -- long and fascinating. He certainly got their attention. There are more than eleven people on his specific target list who aren't going to get much sleep unless he is caught. The first part of his message was to "journalists" to use all their investigative powers, including the FOIA, to find out who he really is. We all know the sterling reputation of the LAPD.
Sure, it's costing taxpayers, particularly in LA, a lot of money, but if the end result is to uncover the cancerous culture within the Dept., LA will be the winner, and Dorner will have achieved his desired result.
His best deal now would be to hole up somewhere and let the frenzy continue. His threats were all toward the LAPD, not the LA citizens (unless some Nimrod decides to try a "citizen's arrest").
Ironic that his heroes are all part of the corrupt tyranny: Bill and Hillary, Feinstein, Obama. His thinking kind of falls apart after he delivers his initial judgement on the LAPD and their "thin blue line."
They could give him his job back in the end and finish this sordid affair.
Dorner mentions ownership of the Barrett and other "scary guns" in his manifesto.
Believe it was in the manifesto....the Barrett

TOM
(sick of the expression)
Listen. What *is* these reds?
Ever’time you turn aroun’ somebody
sayin’ somebody else’s a red. What
is these reds, anyway?

Try to imagine this poison-brained cretin serving as a veteran LAPD officer.
Right. He'd probably do something stupid...like firing >40 rounds into a vehicle and wounding two petite, old paper delivery ladies and the surrounding neighborhood.
Wait....LAPD's gonna have to do a lot of firing if they want to get rid of all of the poison-brained cops.
I read the first few pages of the manifesto. If what is written about the behavior in the department it is pretty bad. Taking photos of victims of crime and accidents and then sharing them to see who has the most gruesome picture. He accuse COPS of lying n court rather than admit an arrest mistake and letting innocent people wrangle with the system and facing jail.
Does that kind of thing really take place?
Some folks simply don’t undertand the totalitarian mind even when they themselves have one.
Too bad Beck won't make the same offer to newspaper delivery gals.
ROFL.
this: http://boywithgrenade.org/2013/02/07/christopher-dorners-manifesto/ site claims to have the uncensored manifesto.
He is getting a lot of attention.
I've been out of the news loop on a business trip since this started, so I'm probably not up to speed.
He has killed three people so far, right? Have any of them been on his "specific target list"?
And the latest lead is his truck, stuck in the mud, set on fire still loaded with weapons and survival gear?
For all of the attention he's getting and all the bluster in his manifesto, a week later, he's not a very effective revenge seeker.
IIRC, Dorner owns a home in Nevada. He could have easily purchased a Barret there.
He has not been captured or killed. He has had many years to plan. He has investigators chasing shadows and line personnel shooting newspaper delivery people! Underestimate this psycho at your own peril!
He needs killing! He most likely has drop locations for vehicles, weapons , food , etc. He knows how law enforcement works. He has made plans and he has help!
“Does that kind of thing really take place?”
Don’t you watch the “Investigation Discovery” channel? :-)
It will be, or at least they will say it was.
RIMMER: It's time we decided who's going to take the one man escape pod.
CAT: How?
RIMMER: Well, if you'll just bear with me, I think I've devised a fair and equitable system of choosing who should survive. It's based on age, rank, seniority, usefulness, and to cut a long story short, it's me. I was a stunned as you are, which is why I demanded a recount. Well, blow me if it didn't come out as me again. Keys.
LISTER: Rimmer, the escape pod is not an option.
RIMMER: Why not?
LISTER: It escaped last Thursday. I was having a few beers, I couldn't be bothered moving so I used the release mechanism as a bottle opener.
Whhoossshhh.
RIMMER: That's it then, we're finished.
Having lived in LA, I can tell you he would fit in.
then it better be an outside investigation, none of the regular suspects at Internal Investigation Division...
Doesn't anybody understand the concept of "conflict of interest"? I'm not sure who should be investigating whether the LAPD is corrupt or not, but can't we all agree that it should not be the LAPD?
What would the LAPD think about the idea of letting Dorner conduct the investigation?
I hope that for their own protection they have made their homes Gun Free Zones.
The first two killed, the couple, had some relationship to a named LAPD officer. That wasn’t random.
That WAS sarcasm, right? You certainly made ME laugh.
I have the original, un-redacted version of his “manifesto” archived on my website here:
http://doctorbulldog.wordpress.com/2013/02/09/chris-dorners-unredacted-manifesto/
Cheers!
THe young woman who was ambushed in a parked car was the daughter of the ex-cop and attorney who represented Dorner at his hearings. Dorner said he was going to go after family members and started with her and her fiancee.
The terrified cops will threaten, harass and shoot more innocent people in their terror before they catch this guy.

Gotta be a little whacked to include everything he did in his "manifesto" and to pull the trigger to kill those he iced.
He was terminated for making a false accusation against another police officer, accusing them of use of excessive force - kicking a person who was in handcuffs, in police custody.
The justification the police want you to believe is that Dorner was lying, and the officer he reported on did not kick the person who was being taken into custody.
The justification Dorner want you to believe is that he was telling the truth, but the truth would "cost" the LAPD; and having an officer on the force that would snitch on LAPD wrongdoing is a risk the LAPD does not want to take. "Snitches get stitches" sort of code, played a government-operated gang.
Thanks for the info!!!
I guess we’ll have to wait till he (suspect) decides to utilize his “asymetrical” tactics and stops a vehicle with one of these rounds...
Kinda takes me back to the days of the Beltway sniper case years ago...Where the person doing the murdering sent police directly their “manifesto” and the police basically kept “most” of the details during the active portion of that investigation to themselves for reasons to NOT alarm or give out mis-information to the public...
Today, the MSM and some Law Enforcement believe it is prudent to give out as much information as possible and let the chips fall where they may, in the interest of avoiding disclosure (FOI) lawsuits from such a litigious (social justice seeking) society...
Again, just my opinion...
