I'm sorry that Mr. Vaus didn't take Mr. Freundlich's offer. I would have been very interested in seeing what the ad-writing people at WMAL would have written given the talking points. It would have been hugely instructive, and perhaps fodder for more debate about the mindset of the media toward issues, particularly when a person is paying for time to put forth his views.
Ma’am, respectfully suggest you look at the results of last November’s Democratic crushing victories from San Antonio south in virtually all local elections. In Bexar County we lost several conservative judgeships once thought to be secure. In South Texas we lost one Congressional seat (Canseco) and at least one state leg seat (Garza). It was a wipeout.
Suggest you wake up: The tide is turning... fast. The biggest cities in Texas are Democrat-run sanctuary cities. Ever heard of the mayors of San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas? Someone is electing these extremely liberal Democrats.
This same clear channel had no problems selling ad time to Planned Parenthood to air anti-Romney commercials with our tax money (although they pretend that it isn’t).
And now it appears that the Obama/Holder Dept. of Just Us and Our People may be reminding broadcast radio of the doctrine that inalienable rights for some people just ain't fair.

Texas is indeed turning Blue. There are lots of areas that are solidly red if you look at square miles but more and more people are being concentrated in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin. Agenda 21 is indeed alive, well and on the march in Texas. We’re fortunate the Obama Dems didn’t come out in force during the last Governor’s race.
Heard last night that Jerry Patterson is going to run for Lt. Governor next election. That would certainly be an improvement over Dewhurst but our state is in big trouble, particularly with Strauss maintaining his leadership position.
Having Cruz as our new Senator is forcing Cornyn to the right a bit for the time being. Time will tell if he can keep it up until election or if he will revert to his Rino-E ways.
May I also say that there has been a LOT of massive voter fraud in the most recent elections of 2012.

Absolutely, you may — and you would be most correct in so saying. (In fact, I almost mentioned it in my previous post.)
However, that is a by-product of the main story: Illegal immigration, along with legal migration of liberals from California, New York, and California is turning us bluer by the minute.
The bluer it gets the more the cheating will increase.... and there is little that we can do to stop it. When an area is completely controlled by the Leftists, they are the ones “guaranteeing” the integrity of the voting machines and polling places (that their associates are rigging).
Agree with you on the Straus issue: The so-called conservatives in the State Leg folded on that one, apparently, though i did not get the inside story on why the opposition folded.
Do NOT agree with you on Patterson, however. If he is better than Dewhurst, it is not by much. I understand that it is Patterson that engineered the introduction of a resolution (that passed) at last June’s Texas State Republican Convention that supported ... you guessed it: “a pathway to citizenship,” though perhaps not in those exact words. He is a back-stabber to true conservatives, in my view.
Moreover, Patterson is the man chiefly responsible for our watered down CHL laws which permit hospitals to ban guns if they post the correct signage. Have you ever worked nights at a hospital? (I have.) This is outrageous. (In San Antonio, the no-gun hospitals of which I am personally aware are Methodist and SAN Heart — just my personal opinion: They have weasels for administrators.) We need Constitutional Carry. I am for Patterson’s opponent: Todd Staples (http://www.toddstaples.com/). I bet you will be, too, if you study his positions. Patterson is a GW Bush type: Talks all country-like, but trends RINO when the backroom deals are being cut.
Regarding the pipe dream about Cornyn’s possibly tacking to the right a bit due to the presence of Cruz. Recommend you give it up: Cornyn is (politically-speaking) dead to me. Do you ever call his Washington or local offices. He hires RINOs (and worse) to work for him. Most of the time, he is stultifyingly silent on every key issue. My take: Cornyn MUST be primaried and MUST be replaced by another Constitutionalist, such as Cruz.
I just saw K.B. Hutchison on a national talk show.... Wow! Did we ever come out ahead in that exchange: Cruz for Hutchison!
I would certainly vote for Staples over Patterson without giving it a second thought. Just became aware that Patterson was running last night and didn’t know about Staples. Thanks for the heads up.
Attended a Brazoria County Republican Lincoln Day dinner last night. Or maybe I should say Angleton/Alvin Republican fiefdom dinner. Speakers: Cornyn, Patterson, Paul and some guy who introduced Cornyn and literally gave a stump speech for Cornyn. Can’t believe they gave a standing ovation to Ron Paul, particularly after his comments about Chris Kyle. Interestingly, the reception for Cornyn was generally lukewarm, although most stood up and applauded for him in the beginning. I would like to hope that someone will step up to the plate and run against him. Didn’t vote for him last time and won’t this time. Would gladly do some block walking though if someone can find another Ted Cruz. It’s going to be boots on the ground in 2014.
I for one am not sad to see Kay Bailey out of DC but wish she had chosen some state other than Texas to return to.

Apostle Claver with Raging Elephants spoke at one of our Republican Women meetings last year. According to his statistical information, if even a relatively small number of the Democrats in Texas who voted for Obama in 2012 had gone to the polls and voted for the Democrat Governor Candidate in the last election, Texas would have a Democrat Governor.
There are/were some good charts somewhere on the internet which rate how Conservative House and Senate members are and there are fewer and fewer true Conservatives with each passing legislative session.
IMO Texas is in real trouble.
Yes, control of all forms of mass media whether it is the internet, radio, television, or cinema is key to keep Americans both informed and convincing them that conservative principles are the correct ideas to hold. Look at what the left has done to our country with the dominance they held over the last three for most of the last century.
Yes, we are in deep trouble. Immigration in particular, both legal and illegal, hasn’t been kind to our state. By the next decade there is a real chance of Texas going blue, even sooner if amnesty is passed and former illegals are allowed citizenship and voting rights. Forget any chance of a Republican much less conservative president or governor after that.
