Remember when the mainstream media mocked a politician who had to attend five colleges to graduate, whose academic record was less than outstanding, and whose subsequent success was proof of nothing? Remember how that was supposed to be a threat to national security, the economy, and so much else? That was so 2008, so Sarah Palin. It turns out that former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE), who is now awaiting confirmation as Secretary of Defense, attended five colleges and was a "D" student. He volunteered to serve in Vietnam,

The man looks like a drunk or at least someone with a significant alcohol problem. That makes him a good fit for the beltway establishment.

The aircraft the second Bush flew was the F-102, widely known in the USAF as ‘the widow maker’. An extremely fast and very unforgiving aircraft. Two of Bush's squadron mates came to untimely ends piloting this deadly little stick of dynamite. People who mock this man for serving in the Texas ANG should have to fly that aircraft.

I worked two jobs and was in the ANG while in veterinary school. Except for microbiology, I usually was in the bottom of the class. It never failed that a Monday exam was always after a ANG drill weekend. Today, the students in veterinary college are prohibited from having jobs outside of the curriculum. I wonder if Hagel had outside jobs?

The few times I have heard Hagel speak or read about his speech, I have thought he looked dumb and ignorant and spoke the same. Unbelievable, the people molding the (non)future of the USA.

Hagel, Kerry, Brennan--either dumb, sly, egotistical or all of the above.
