EU To Crack Down on Israeli Settlement Products
Der Spiegel ^ | February 11, 2013 – 02:43 PM | Christoph Schult

Israeli settlers living in the Palestinian territories often deceptively give their products a “Made in Israel” label. The European Union wants to move soon to end the practice and appears to be set on a collision course with the country. …

The international community has never recognized Israeli sovereignty over these areas, and the Geneva Convention outlaws the establishment of settlements within occupied territories. Nevertheless, successive Israeli governments have allowed colonies to be built up within them and, today, some 650,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. …

Another article full of lies against Israel. They are not occupied territories, they certainly are not Palestinian territories, and there is no single “ international community” to speak of.

And this is the entity that the US liberals in DC want to encourage to do more world policing, and maybe take over from the USA.

When it comes to "international law" Israel is sui generis - one of a kind.

1952 legal text argues that belligerent occupation is impossible if the territory is not part of a state

...".I emailed this question to a couple of well-known international law experts. One said that there was no clear rule before 1967 about the occupation or conquest of non-sovereign territory, and the rules that are bandied about today are clearly applied uniquely for Israel. The other stated that before 1967 it was "blindingly obvious" that the laws of belligerent occupation would not apply to non-sovereign territory, "exactly the opposite of what everyone says about Israel today." "

Sui generis - int'l law only for Israel (Robbie Sabel - video)

Very good lecture. Well worth your time!

Where can somebody get a list of these unwanted vendors.
I’ll give them first consideration when I buy something.

Long live the State of Israel. May the Judeo-Christian world prevail over the evils of Islam.

These godless atheist Euro-Crats have way too much time on their hands. So in order to “justify” their bloated salaries they home in on the Jews of Israel. Why? Because even these godless parasites subliminally know that Jerusalem is the center of the universe.

Same reason the false prophet worshiping Muslims covet Jerusalem and make phony claims to it

If the EU is so panty twisted about occupied territorys, they should help move the Arabs to Jordan where they belong. According to the last treaty signed by all parties, the West bank of the Jordan belongs to Isael, and the East Bank became Jordan to create a home for the Palestinians.

But then, under the law all Nations are equal, just some are more equal than others...

Wow! When I saw the headline I at least expected the focus to be on products from the West Bank. It is much worse. They are calling the Golan Heights not Israel. That area is not and has never been part of Palestinian claims. Some of that area is claimed by Syria even though Israel has abided by the UN demarcation of that area.
