Is Dorner a drone target?

Are police using drones in the manhunt for Christopher Dorner?

According to a report by a British newspaper, they are. On Sunday, the Express quoted a "senior police source" who said the "thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him—on the ground, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack."

Dorner, the 33-year-old former naval and LAPD officer turned triple-murder suspect, has been at the center of a massive manhunt stretching from the San Bernadino Mountains—where his burned-out pickup truck was found last week—to the Mexican border.

In a manifesto posted online earlier this month, Dorner promised "unconventional and asymmetrical warfare" against the LAPD, which fired him in 2008. On Saturday, actor Charlie Sheen—who was mentioned in Dorner's online manifesto—released a video pleading with the accused killer to call him.

Forget the drone crap. Dorner hasn't been seen in 8 days. He's either gone to ground (with the help of friends) or he gone to ground literally, 6 feet under. The smart money is on him having offed himself in the snow and they won't find much of him left,... even in spring.

Meanwhile the exciting chase keeps giving the idiot cops plenty of innocent civilians to shoot up! Look, there goes another one,....quick, shoot him!!!

having worked with the NOVA police for 25 years as a Prosecutor, the scary thing here is his training. The “great secret” among police and Prosecutors is that the stupidity of criminals made us look like geniuses.

Drones are useless unless the person flying them knows where you are.

And the cops are clueless as to where Dorner is.

This world is Drone Crazy.

The 'great secret' among citizens is nobody thinks you look like geniuses.

True. For now the drones are supposedly unarmed.....imagine the 'it's okay to drone strike U.S. citizens OCONUS,' becomes:

'this guy is a public endangerment and it's for the safety of the children'.......or simply updating the perps facebook status to "terrorist."

I'd sure feel comfortable driving in an *identical looking vehicle to the perp with the top notch LAPD flying above with a Hellfire armed Predator.

*"identical" = different color, make, model and driver's sex, race, and appearance in no way resembles the perp

Drones are good at locating warm bodies. They will not tell you who it is. Someone on the ground has to confirm.

Dorner is likely in Tahiti, wearing a grass skirt , pretending to be a Samoan.

He has likely been ex juris the USA for at least 3 days.

Politics is driving the search for Dorner. As long as that is true, he is unlikely to be found.

If this jerk had killed you and me and said he had a grudge against 7-11 does anyone think there would be a reward on his head at all much less one million? If the victims were not cops all this would be just another day at the office for the entire LAPD.

I thought I just saw him enter City Hall, or maybe it was Rampart Station, could of been the Federal Building in Westwood also. But then again he looks just like the Security Guard I saw at the Federal Courthouse, or maybe it was the Armed Guard at the Music Center,.....

If the victims were not Cops, it would most likely be COPS we were looking for.

“If this jerk had killed you and me and said he had a grudge against 7-11 does anyone think there would be a reward on his head at all much less one million?”

Exactly. Tremendous threat assessment with endless unintended consequence permutations. Potential viral worst case scenario.

Hm, I was thinking this paranoid song fits a bit better, given that the War on Drugs has effectively destroyed the Fourth Amendment.

There is a camera that can be mounted on a drone that can take a simultaneous 360 degree high resolution view that can cover a small city - along with a software solution that can view individuals waving their arms and recognize vehicles, etc.

Consider what unclassified technology is available, then use your imagination -

Take a look at http://cognika.com, etc...

[...6 feet under.”

I don’t think so. I think he has a few more cops to deal with... Based on his writings anyway. Oh he’ll die, but on his terms I gather.
