Are police using drones in the manhunt for Christopher Dorner?
According to a report by a British newspaper, they are. On Sunday, the Express quoted a "senior police source" who said the "thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him—on the ground, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack."
Dorner, the 33-year-old former naval and LAPD officer turned triple-murder suspect, has been at the center of a massive manhunt stretching from the San Bernadino Mountains—where his burned-out pickup truck was found last week—to the Mexican border.
In a manifesto posted online earlier this month, Dorner promised "unconventional and asymmetrical warfare" against the LAPD, which fired him in 2008. On Saturday, actor Charlie Sheen—who was mentioned in Dorner's online manifesto—released a video pleading with the accused killer to call him.

Drones are good at locating warm bodies. They will not tell you who it is. Someone on the ground has to confirm.
Dorner is likely in Tahiti, wearing a grass skirt , pretending to be a Samoan.
He has likely been ex juris the USA for at least 3 days.
Politics is driving the search for Dorner. As long as that is true, he is unlikely to be found.

If this jerk had killed you and me and said he had a grudge against 7-11 does anyone think there would be a reward on his head at all much less one million? If the victims were not cops all this would be just another day at the office for the entire LAPD.

I thought I just saw him enter City Hall, or maybe it was Rampart Station, could of been the Federal Building in Westwood also. But then again he looks just like the Security Guard I saw at the Federal Courthouse, or maybe it was the Armed Guard at the Music Center,.....

There is a camera that can be mounted on a drone that can take a simultaneous 360 degree high resolution view that can cover a small city - along with a software solution that can view individuals waving their arms and recognize vehicles, etc.
