Isn't it just amazing that the Washington post decides to publish this type of story today, in light of the fact that the White House is poised to release an executive order from Der Fuhrer aimed at thwarting cyberattacks against critical infrastructure on Wednesday?

Yep! They’re ‘meme-ing’ it to death. Been given their talking points.

I'm preparing to be shocked halfway out of my socks when unspecified "attacks" inexplicably "force" the feral government to "wrest control" of undefined "portions" of the internet from unspecified "attackers." Vaguely worded "preliminary damage assessments" will "indicate" the problem may take feral government scientists and engineers as long as ten days to "restore to working order."

Rugged individuals masquerading as "journalists" in the failed main stream "news" media will be too busy filing progress reports to waste time looking into rumors hundreds and perhaps even thousands of "right wing sniper assault high-powered cop killer war weapon child pornography racist advocacy and anarchic socially irresponsible violent insurrection extremism" sites have vanished into the ether.

Oh, by the way, we, umm... do have a back-up means of communication, don't we?

There are no coincidences. This is pretty damn blatant.

Yes, the Obama administration is pushing their “cyber-security” BS. Most companies will likely just ignore it, the way they’ve ignored security issues for over 10 years.

That doesn’t mean there isn’t a threat. All corporate management has to do is realize that they need to spend money on corporate network security, and some of the money they need to spend is on training of their employees, especially middle and upper management. The worst practices in personal data security are often the result of idiot senior managers who think using a computer properly is beneath them.
