The Republican establishment wants to return to the Post Roosevelt/Pre Reagan years when the only difference between a Republican President and a Democrat President was the letter beside their name.

Good cop - Bad cop.
They just want us to believe they're opposites. The illusion of opposition keeps people busy so they don't notice the team effort.

If the two parties were opposites, the Republicans would be doing something to turn back the tide of socialism/communism every chance they had. Instead, they just don't want to talk about it. (Shhhhhh. We're not suppose to notice.)

BTW, I'm pretty sure the Republican elites have chosen Rubio as our candidate in 2016. I don't know why they even bother with primaries. Why don't they just let us know who we've chosen now and save themselves, and us, the gas money?

Washington was right - parties themselves are the enemy, because in the end even the best care more for power than they do standing up for their lofty principles. Nowhere is this more evident the today’s GOP.
