in the body of the article, there is an attack of the oil lobby, even if lobbies in my opinion is not needed to explain that tragedy. Dysfunctional ego of physicists, coupled with technical problems preventing a rapid industrial success killed this research area... That physicists are less proud, or that cold fusion would be usable in 1993, all would have been accepted without worries.

Where did I say he was committing fraud? I said that I predict that the money invested will go “poof” without a product being produced. Regardless of whether or not the founders intend fraud, there is no science behind this project, and consequently there will be no end product. It’s pseudoscientific crap, just like Rossi’s e-Cat.

The electric car people should love the Rossi-Cold Fusion-Lenr-2X-Non Nuclear Hot Water and Steam engines in their cars.
Interviews given, papers are written, denials, assertions, secret this, confidential that....but never anything to show for the promised deliveries.

I met Chauvin at the E-Cat conference in Zurich last September. I didn’t know he worked for Logitech, but there seems to be some confusion here: he’s not the Logitech founder, he’s just a former employee. The founder may be putting some money into the effort, but it’s Chauvin who’s leading it.
Chauvin is a young entrepreneur who’s trying to figure out how to base an automobile on a new heat source, E-Cat. That’s what E-Cat is — fundamentally, it’s a heat source. The characteristics of E-Cat are a moving target, however. Before the September E-Cat conference, E-Cat was only a source of low-grade heat, OK for water heating and space heating, but not a good heat source for an engine. At the conference, Rossi announced the new Hot Cat, which reportedly can produce heat at a temperature suitable for steam engines and Sterling engines.
Chauvin is following the moving target of E-Cat practicality, and working on the best way to get E-Cat energy to turn the wheels of an automobile. If E-Cat actually works, he will have developed the knowledge and contacts to design and build an E-Cat car. If E-Cat doesn’t work, he’ll have to find another project.
Should be a cinch to work in place like, ah, Texas or Death Valley.
After his credibility is ruined his next project will involve the phrase, "do you want fries with that?"
