Cabin In Dorner Barricade Situation Engulfed In Flames (FBI Hostage Roasting Team?)
CBS Los Angeles ^ | ebruary 12, 2013

Posted on 02/12/2013 6:08:33 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

SEVEN OAKS (CBSLA.com) —  The cabin quadruple-murder suspect Christopher Dorner is believed to be holed up in is now fully engulfed in flames, according to CBS2′s Carter Evans, who also reported that tear gas was fired into the house before the fire broke out.

A shot was also fired around that time, and sources tell CBS2′s Juan Fernandez that tracks were found leading to a horse corral, which may mean Dorner was able to escape.

LAPD Cmdr. Andy Smith Tuesday urged Dorner to turn himself in as a gun battle and barricade situation raged on in San Bernardino County.

“Enough is enough. It’s time to turn yourself in. End the bloodshed,” Smith said, adding that Dorner, who allegedly shot and killed his fourth victim — a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy — Tuesday afternoon, was holed up in a Seven Oaks cabin. The home, ironically, is located near the Sheriff’s outpost that was set up earlier this week as part of the search for him.

Dormer is also accused of shooting a second deputy, who was undergoing surgery after being airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Smith, who says Dorner likely has access to television and other media outlets, requested that media helicopters pull out of the area.

The San Bernardino District Attorney’s Office also asked that reporters in the area to refrain from tweeting about the ongoing situation.

The sheriff has asked all members of the press to stop tweeting immediately. It is hindering officer safety. #Dorner
SB District Attorney (@sbcountyda) February 12, 2013

Dorner reportedly broke into a couple’s home and tied them up — possibly days ago — before stealing their vehicle and fleeing the scene Tuesday afternoon.

He was spotted by authorities around 1:30 p.m. and repeated gunshots were exchanged on Glass Road. KCAL9′s Carter Evans, who was reporting nearby, is safe despite loud gunfire that could be heard during his live report.

Dorner then fled into a forested area and barricaded himself in a cabin. A SWAT team was also called in to set up a perimeter around the area.

Love how this is upstaging the SOTU — if Obama had a son when he was twenty, he’d look like Dorner.

Standard Operating Procedure.

If there are children or dogs near to hand, they will be tossed into the flames. According to Janet Reno, that part's in the rule book: ya gotta do it.

Havn't heard that reported on the TV coverage.

Same thing happened to the SLA. Tear gas canister set their safe house on fire.

One or two actually made it out by wriggling out the crawl space. Tried to shoot their way out. Unsuccessfully.

Some interesting quotes with links from my comment in this other thread, Dorner Found in Big Bear (second quote and link was the first in the thread):

Also in comment #599. Thanks, RedhairRedhair.

"I heard them on the scanner talking about going ahead with the “burn out” and it needed to go just like we talked about...."

Earlier, from TADSLOS' comment #528,

"7 burners deployed and we have a fire- scanner...."

Then, from Syntyr's comment #556,

"Reports of ammo exploding inside the cabin."

Good. Hope no more innocents will be found dead. People can disagree with the LAPD and their usual procedures all they like, but those innocent people whom Drmer killed had nothing to do with that, and it makes Dorner a coward for kiling them.

What does it make the LAPD for blindly shooting up cars in the middle of the day where the passengers were neither the sex nor color of the perp? And the cars were different too?

Chris Dorner was completely wrong with what he did, but especially love YOUR choice of words and reaction:

burn in hell scumbag

What you may not realize is the attitude and reactions that you develop in others by taunting, gloating and wishing for someone's (anyone's) demise. This applies to EVERYONE on any side of this issue.

Proverbs 24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
Proverbs 24:18 Lest the Lord see it and be displeased, And He turn away His anger from him.
Proverbs 24:19 Do not fret because of evildoers, Or be envious of the wicked;
Proverbs 24:20 For there will be no future for the evil man; The lamp of the wicked will be put out.

Folks might want to start taking up Bible-reading in the future. Might save everyone a lot of heartache and trouble.

Who do you know of that’s trying to make heroes of the LAPD? Not me, at any rate. That doesn’t make Dormer a hero either. The are no heroes in this. Dormer murdered innocent people in cold blood. He’s no hero. My saying that doesn’t mean I have to think that the LAPD are heroes either.

He killed another cop today? That’s horrible.

I hope Dorner’s dead, because otherwise he’s going to become a hero to the left. Heck, he’s a hero to about half of the posters on FR.

This disgusts me. The police, like anybody else, make mistakes, and the time they have to make the decision to fire is about a milisecond before the other person gets to fire on them and blow them away. So there will be errors, but that’s the fault of the criminal and not of the police.

That’s why people who didn’t pull the trigger but assisted somebody in a crime that resulted in a homicide are also charged with murder.

I really hope Dorner has gone on to face the ultimate Judge.

Thank you. He didn't even kill the people he had the grudge against, he killed innocent people who had nothimg to do with his accusations, and he himself said that was his plan. He was evil, he boasted that he would kill the children of those against whom he held the grudge. It was his plan. That in no way excuses the LAPD's negligence and trigger-happy mentality, but no one can say that it was their cold-blooded plan to kill innocents, even if they didn't take much care not to. Again, I never said either side were heroes, but Dormer's the one the left is trying to put on a pedestal. No one's trying to do that with the LAPD.

Sorry, but officer safety not only does not trump the first amendment, it is counter to the safety of the public ... which needs to know not only where this dirtbag killer is...but where these out of control roid rage cops are.

When they began no knock raids in other than hostage situations they pretty much abandoned the days where protection between law enforcement and the public was mutually achievable.

They have already filled two vehicles full of innocent bystanders full of lead and there is every reason to believe that folks in their own homes are no more safe from them.

Cue up the wrong house pic.
