I know he had a job to do and a response to give, however, all he had to do was say “BS”, and his job would have been done.

We are the party that embraces hard work and ingenuity, therefore we must be the party that embraces the immigrant who wants to come to America for a better future. We must be the party who sees immigrants as assets, not liabilities. We must be the party that says, ‘If you want to work, if you want to become an American, we welcome you.’

The path we are on is not sustainable, but few in Congress or in this Administration seem to recognize that their actions are endangering the prosperity of this great nation.

Both parties have been guilty of spending too much, of protecting their sacred cows, of backroom deals in which everyone up here wins, but every taxpayer loses. It is time for a new bipartisan consensus. It is time Democrats admit that not every dollar spent on domestic programs is sacred. And it is time Republicans realize that military spending is not immune to waste and fraud.

Not only should the sequester stand, many pundits say the sequester really needs to be at least $4 trillion to avoid another downgrade of America’s credit rating. Both parties will have to agree to cut, or we will never fix our fiscal mess.

Washington acts in a way that your family never could – they spend money they do not have, they borrow from future generations, and then they blame each other for never fixing the problem.

If Congress refuses to obey its own rules, if Congress refuses to pass a budget, if Congress refuses to read the bills, then I say: Sweep the place clean. Limit their terms and send them home.

Is it REALLY too much to ask for one of these fools to differentiate between legal, which we welcome and illegal (which Democrats welcome) immigration? Really? Is it?

The Treason Lobby intentionally blurs the line between legal immigration and foreign nationals who invite themselves here in violation of the law.

It’s a bi-partisan policy of Evil Stupidity.

Yup. But plenty on the right refuse to accept that and insist on further emboldening the party to keep doing it.

And simultaneously claim how conservative they are.

We are a Country that is on the verge of shooting each other dead (or getting Dis-armed) and or worse by a tyrant and this EFFEMINATE RESPONSE (however accurate his facts are) is OUR response? And it is Applauded?

You folks that think that rebuttal was an effective rebuttal... you best have your own provisions. Life is about to become a much different battle and I do not think that many of you are prepared to survive it.

Basically we are screwed

Thank God someone spoke truth to morons. But in light of the musical chair style of politics the GOP has adopted, I seriously question if he isn’t put out there as cover. Is any other Pubbie backing him on this?

I only hope the remaining base of the GOP will see it too. But they seem set on captaining the ship right up de’Nile river.

GOP is doing the exact opposite of what it should be doing to attract voters and win elections and oppose Obama. Very few left who get it. The leadership is stuck on stupid.

We must be the party who sees immigrants as assets, not liabilities.

When I no longer see foreigners who can not speak English, using EBT cards to pay for their groceries, I'll stop looking at them as liabilities.

“When I no longer see foreigners who can not speak English”

And what was the first words out of Marco “salt water wetback” Rubio this morning on Fox “my mouth was dry because I just recorded my response in Spanish”.

Pandering GOPe dirtbag is all he is. Put him out there thinking if the GOP panders to the wets we will win the next one. Forget the LEGAL white immigrant that came to America. All the GOP has to do is win over the ILLEGAL Wetback Invader and we got the next one in the bag.

FUGOP.....

I'm not too happy with the GOP stance on immigration, but on my laundry list of issues, immigration is down near the bottom compared to size of government, military, 2nd Amendment, repealing obamneycare...

If I had a choice I'd vote for Rand Paul over any other Senator (since Cruz is Canadian born), but I would vote for Rubio more enthusiastically than I could Romney.

I'd prefer someone with executive experience. Governor Scott Walker supports AZ's immigration law and no benefits for illegals and he's a fighter, but he hasn't made any moves to indicate a run in 2016 unfortunately. We need a guy like him. Governor Palin supports the AZ law, too.

Walker and Palin would be my first and second picks, and Rand and then former Senator DeMint my 3rd and 4th.

The GOP wants Jeb or Christie since they can't get Soros to run for the top Republican slot and David René de Rothschild already has a job much higher up on the ladder.

The free stuff - groceries, cell phones, etc. - is what bothers me. It takes some time to learn English. One of the most kind hearted and faithful friends I’ve ever had is from El Salvador. She came her as a 17 y/o and couldn’t speak a word of English. It took her a few years to learn. She’s been here 15 years now and works for a large land development firm in an office tower downtown. I’m very proud of her. Yet she still asks me about words she doesn’t understand, phrases used by business executives. She would understand Rubio much better if he addressed her in Spanish. As long as Rubio is encouraging immigrants to learn English, I don't have a problem with him giving speeches in both languages.

I applaud your faithful friend for learning English and I would also applaud her if she came here LEGALLY... Did she?

Yes, she’s here legally. She wouldn’t be working where she is if she wasn’t.

If the R party doesn’t man up and stick to the Constitution, they will remain worse than the Dems/progressives/commies, because then there is no opposition at all.

Not what I asked. I asked if she came here legally, not if she was here legally now. Pretty big difference, but you do not have to answer if you do not want to. That is ok.
