Firearm Makers Boycott Anti-Gun City and State Governments
The New American ^ | Feb 13, 2013 | Alex Newman

Posted on 02/13/2013 7:53:40 AM PST by EXCH54FE

Liberty-minded firearm companies concerned about recent assaults on the gun rights of law-abiding citizens by Obama and others are taking action to defend the Second Amendment even if it means lost revenue, with several major firms announcing that they would no longer be supplying equipment to hostile state and local governments or their police forces. Both New York and California — where out-of-touch politicians continue to trample on citizens’ constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms — have become primary targets. Activists and the companies are urging others to join the effort against more gun control now.

Among the manufacturers that have publicly announced their plans to prohibit sales to anti-Second Amendment authorities so far are LaRue Tactical, Olympic Arms, Extreme Firepower (EFI, LLC), and Barrett Firearms. All four firms, in solidarity with citizens in jurisdictions victimized by a lawless political class that refuses to uphold the Constitution, have expressed strong support for Americans’ unalienable rights. Gun rights activists nationwide rushed to celebrate the companies’ valor.

If citizens cannot purchase certain guns or accessories in places such as California, Chicago, or New York, then authorities cannot either, the companies essentially announced. In a press release posted online on Tuesday praising the Constitution and Bill of Rights, Olympic Arms President Brian Schuetz urged all firearm manufacturers to join the boycott effort, saying that they should stand together to repel politicians’ hostile assaults on the rights of citizens.

“Olympic Arms is a staunch believer in and defender of the Constitution of the United States, and with special attention paid to the Bill of Rights that succinctly enumerates the security of our Divinely given Rights. One of those Rights is that to Keep and Bear Arms,” Schuetz said in the statement, which was widely lauded by gun rights activists.

All of those reciprocity deals that allow cops from states that prohibit firearms to lawabiding citizens should be RENOUNCED. Make the cops visit your state totally disarmed.

Dear Mr. -———,

Thank you for contacting me to express your concern about calls for increased federal gun control in the wake of the unspeakable tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. I appreciate the time you took to write to me, and while we may not agree completely on this issue, I welcome your thoughts on it.

Like you, I respect the U.S. Constitution as the foundation of our great democracy. The Framers supported the right of colonists to defend themselves against the British Empire, and at the time of the Second Amendment’s drafting, they were concerned that the absence of a “well-regulated militia” could jeopardize the entire American democratic experiment.

Our founding fathers never contemplated, however, whether the open availability of modern military hardware would be necessary to ensure individual liberty in the 21st century. High-capacity ammunition magazines, high-powered assault rifles, and even semi-automatic weapons had yet to be invented, so it now falls upon us to determine the place of modern, highly lethal weapons of war in civil society.

The right of responsible citizens to keep and bear arms must be carefully weighed against the right of all Americans to live in a safe society—and as such, responsible steps can and must be taken to protect the latter without infringing upon the former. Closing the “gun show” loophole, banning high-capacity ammunition magazines, and improving the system of background checks for gun purchasers will do nothing to infringe upon the right of citizens to keep and use firearms for recreational, subsistence, or even self-defense purposes.

Please know that while we may not agree on the effectiveness of particular gun control policies, I profoundly respect your views and will keep them in mind as Congress considers these matters.

If you have any other questions or comments, let me hear from you. I value what my constituents say to me, and I always need your thoughts and benefit from your ideas.

I’ve created an ongoing e-newsletter to keep constituents informed on a variety of congressional issues and legislation. Many constituents tell me how much they value reading it, and if you would like to as well, you can go to my website at http://eshoo.house.gov and click on Sign Up for ENews. Your email address will never be used by anyone except my office to communicate with you, and your tax dollars will be conserved by using electronic communications rather than traditional mailings.

Most gratefully,

Anna G. Eshoo
Member of Congress

I feel your pain. When I lived in California, Tom “Hit ‘n Run” Lantos was my Congresscritter. I wrote a letter to him back in ‘89 or ‘90 when the first “assault weapon” propaganda push started, and received a similar form letter basically telling me that he didn’t care about the 2nd Amendment.

Is there a modern military that is limited to using semi-auto only rifles? There are restrictions on owning “modern military hardware”, both in cost and legal approvals.

Please read all of this. Rule #13 is very important. We have to stay on TARGET!

The Power is in the hands of the consumer which is also the taxpayer!

Gun Control; Time to Fight

As consumers and 2nd Amendment advocates, we have to engage an economic boycott of all ammunition and firearms covering the entire State of NY; Citizens & Government while pulling an “Alinsky” Andrew Cuomo when executing the boycott. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rules for Radicals)

The embargo ends when the current NY Government agrees all NY State Citizens have a 2nd Amendment Right to own any quantity and all types firearms, those made 400 years ago and those to be made in the future!

How

The firearms industry from top to bottom completely terminate sales of a firearms and ammunition to all of NY State, citizens to Government to include the Federal Government offices in NY State till the State of NY recognizes the US Constitution and its own State Constitution starting on 12 February 2013.

To the Citizens aka Serfs in NY State

You will suffer till you elect representatives that respect the Constitutions. You made your bed, now go lie down in it! If you are a gun owner in NY you are a Serf, and it sucks to be you. If you are a believer
in Gun Control, great! Now your Government will have no guns too! NY Government can continue to prosecute the criminals without guns or ammunition.

To all Government in NY State

You want gun control for your Citizens and Taxpayers? Well the rest of us out here think that concept is flawed. The rest of the Country think you, the Government should be just as restricted or more so restricted than the law abiding taxpayer…….how do you like not having “Assault Rifles”, High Capacity Magazines or no Ammunition now? If it sucks for you Mr & Mrs. Government Employee in NY State……well it sucks to a NY State Citizen under the current laws too!

Respect your citizens/ taxpayer and Constitutions.

To Industry: Time to break the bully’s’ face

Andrew Cuomo and Elizabeth Warren will be running on the 2016 Democrat Presidential ticket. With record sales in other markets, there will be zero impact if all NY sales terminated tomorrow. If the NY State Government along with the SAFE act are not reigned in, this cancer will only spread. Time to fight the bully and make the bully understand in no uncertain terms, the 2nd Amendment is very important, has nothing to do with hunting and everything to do with citizens/sovereigns reigning in and eliminating out of control Government, foreign or Domestic.

To the Citizens of the “other 56” States

Call every manufacturer of ammunition and firearms and tell them to stand up to Andrew Cuomo and the NY State Government by completely boycotting all sales to NY State till the SAFE Act, Assault weapons ban and any other restrictions to firearms ownership are removed. Respect the 2nd Amendment or pay the consequences. Boycott NY State or we as consumers will boycott your company!

Federal Ammunition, Winchester/OLIN, FN USA, FN Herstal, Remington, Freedom Firearms Group, Colt, S&W, Glock, Lewis Machine Tool, Heckler & Koch, Sig-Sauer… etc.

Call the NRA and every other gun rights organization to support the industry boycott of NY State and make sure that Andrew Cuomo owns it!

Contact them all and tell them you support a NY State Firearms and Ammunition Boycott!

Andrew Cuomo

Mr. Cuomo owns this. Every Answer, every utterance about this initiative is his. This will end his chances for President in 2016.

When NY State Government Officials complain: ANSWER Call Andy…. When NYC Police Commissioner
Ray Kelly and NYC Mayor Bloomberg whines… ANSWER: Call ANDY! When the UN security teams in
NYC complain….. answer Andrew Cuomo…..When hunters in NY complain: ANSWER: Andrew Cuomo….. when non gun owners fear the “cops” will not be armed: ANSWER Andrew Cuomo. When any NY State Citizen comments, complains, or utters any thought about their safety: ANSWER Andrew Cuomo.

If it drags on and a NY Citizen or Police Officer is killed due to no training ammunition the answer is: Andrew Cuomo

When the news media runs a story explaining the criminals gangs think this boycott is great cuz the Po
Po ain’t gots noz bullets…. The answer is Andrew Cuomo

Andrew Cuomo is your fear, Andrew Cuomo is your pain, and Andrew Cuomo is your lack of security…..your lack of ammunition and firearms.. Governor Cuomo can heal that pain….

When Mr. Cuomo buckles: the left will hate him. The Left will punish him

NO negotiations, NO middle of the road,
Nothing but recognition of the Individual Taxpayers Rights to Firearms Ownership

When NY State Government recognizes the Rights of the Citizens, then and only then will sales resume

MAKE EVERY Gun Grabbing Democrat or Republican politician fear being “Coumo’d” by Taxpayers that believe in the Second Amendment.

The Common Sense Solution is already in place: Current NY State Constitution ARTICLE XII*
DEFENSE
[Defense; militia]
Section 1. The defense and protection of the state and of the United
States is an obligation of all persons within the state. The legislature
shall provide for the discharge of this obligation and for the maintenance and regulation of an organized.

For clarity and intent here is the original language from 1777

XL. And whereas it is of the utmost importance to the safety of every State that it should always be in a condition of defence; and it is the duty of every man who enjoys the protection of society to be prepared and willing to defend it; this convention therefore, in the name and by the authority of the good people of this State, doth ordain, determine, and declare that the militia of this State, at all times hereafter, as well in peace as in war, shall be armed and disciplined, and in readiness for service.

(just a small observation: As read, the citizens of NY State should be fully armed “the duty of every man” , not the NY State Government or any Employee that takes a pay check from TAX REVENUE. Right now, it is completely backwards! NY State should be more like Switzerland of 2012 and less like Nazi Germany of 1938.)

And

US Constitution 2nd Amendment, which by the way is now in been affirmed as incorporated and defined to protect the individual’s right to own firearms, via the Heller decision

If a citizen and Militia member in NY cannot own it, can neither a NY State Government Agency nor
Employee. That is common sense and that is the current Constitution!

Make Mr. Cuomo recognize that fact. See the rules below and start making Andy Cuomo’s political life painful or we will be dealing with him and his venal ilk in 2016!

Addendum:

The rules

RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood.

How: NY State Boycott of all arms and ammunition, starting with NY State Government, local
Government and all NY State Citizens/Taxpayers/Serfs

RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.

We all know firearms and the Second Amendment. Time to say NO to the Bullies in NY State!

RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.

NY State Government will be clueless on how to handle a boycott by Industry initiated by Taxpayers from the other “56” States.

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

No Rights to own Firearms for Citizens = No Rights, exemptions, or any other weasel language to possess
Firearms or ammunition for Government Employees anywhere in NY

If a NY State Citizen cannot buy the firearms/magazines/ammunition…. Nor can a Government Entity or
Government Employee in NY State

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It is irrational. It is infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

Call Andrew Cuomo, he owns: your lack of Rights, your lack of security, or lack of ammunition or lack of firearms

RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more.
They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.

For those of us outside of NY State: More product available and we end this gun control issue for a while

For those in NY State: Think of this as Chemo-therapy for gun control cancer; the process is not very enjoyable, but the results of killing off the gun control cancer are worth it.

Enjoy watching the NY State bureaucrats squirm and fuss

Enjoy watching the anti- gun types freak when the Government is not armed either! Que Mike Bloomberg, NY Police Union types and the UN idiots “guns for our security now! While leaving the taxpayers un-armed”

ENJOY ANDREW COUMO GET POUNDED ON ALL SIDES and watch his 2016 chances go away!

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.

Start this MONTH, it won’t last long!

Abe Lincoln took on slavery, so let us free taxpayers that enjoy firearms and the 2nd Amendment from being treated like Dred Scott honor Mr. Lincoln and start the BOYCOTT on 12 February 2013!

Call or e-mail every manufacturer of firearms and ammunition and demand they BOYCOTT all sales to NY STATE! Call and/or e-mail the NRA, NSSF, and SAMMI and demand they support a BOYCOTT of all firearms and ammunition to NY State to begin on February 12, 2013 starting with the NY State Government due to ANDREW Cuomo!

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.

The Boycott Ends when LAWS are repealed, not amended, not replaced…REPEALED and Law Abiding
Citizens & Taxpayers RIGHTS are recognized

RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.

NOT A THREAT. DEMAND a total BOYCOTT and make sure Andrew Cuomo owns it!

RULE 10: “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” It is the unceasing pressure that will result in the reaction of the opposition that is essential for the success of the campaign.

The enraged Parties such as the NY State Police, Local Police, Government Employee Unions and finally
Citizens/Serf will be plenty of pressure on Mr. Cuomo.

RULE 11: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.

Common Sense will prevail

RULE 12: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.

No Compromise: The answers & solutions are already in place, the NY State Constitution and the US Constitution

RULE 13: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

ANDREW COUMO

Dear Anna,
In 1787, freedom of speech was shouting at a town meeting or publishing your thoughts on paper or parchment using quill or printing press. The Framers never imagined television and cell phones, let alone texting, Facebook, and Twitter. So you just go ahead and write down your stupidity on dried sheep stomach using mashed berries and a turkey feather and then we will continue this discussion, okay?
Sincerely,
goodwithagun

There's currently a federal law under USC 9258 and 926C that involves the federales letting cops and retired cops pack heat wherever they wish. In digging through several articles it became apparent that the act is necessarily limited by a number of 10th amendment considerations so it's not actually as carte blanche as it's made out to be. The law does no more than give a cop/retiree a rebutable presumption of innocent transport and/or use if he or she is 'caught' so if they don't get 'caught' they can't be tried anyway, so why worry.

The Wiki write up was pretty straightforward and gave this history to recent amendments: "The act was introduced during the 108th Congress as H.R. 218. and enacted as Public Law 108-277.[1] The law was later amended by the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act Improvements Act of 2010 (S. 1132, Public Law 111-272),[2] and Section 1089 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (H.R. 4310, Public Law 112-239).[3] It is currently codified as 18 United States Code 926B and 926C."

Which means out of state cops and retired cops are probably still walking around unconcerned with carrying guns in your state because there's an older separately enacted state reciprocity agreement. To fully engage in this boycott of anti-gun cities and states those laws will need to be FIXED.

As far as the out of state cops/retirees problem, they would carry at risk in states that didn't provide reciprocity.

>>> “... Our founding fathers never contemplated, however, whether the open availability of modern military hardware would be necessary to ensure individual liberty in the 21st century....”

That is because the founding fathers never contemplated the reality in the 21st century that we have a government tyranny and The People willingly let their government infringe on their rights to pursue individual liberty.

“Modern military hardware” and “high capacity assault magazines” are just there for distractions.

It's about time a weapons dealer decided to stop arming the enemy!! I refer to the law enforcement as the enemy because once the firearms confiscation begins those in law enforcement (DHS) will not discern who should or shouldn't have a firearm. They will take them all and if one resists, one will be killed. Results: all US arms and ammo manufacturers that sell to the public need to realize that this government will eventually put them all out of business and the more they sell to the government entities now, like the DHS, the sooner that is going to happen. I'm not an alarmist, I'm just observant.

Our founding fathers never contemplated, however, whether the open availability of modern military hardware would be necessary to ensure individual liberty in the 21st century.

They never contemplated a government as huge and as oppressive as the one we have now, either. They expected us to fight for our freedoms the day first day the politicians tried to rule over us. If they had envisioned the government we have today, the Constitution would have demanded every citizen be fully armed, and those arms would have to be more powerful than those controlled by the officials who are, right mow, trying to deny us our God given rights.

I’ve written to numerous firearm and ammunition manufacturers on this very issue and requested their boycott of NY state. I’ve received a few form-type letters in response.

I sweeten the pot with my letters, though. I’ve explained in every one of them:

“Your assistance in the matter of this boycott would greatly increase your political and financial capital with the gun rights community, and, at least from my household, you will see an increase in the purchase of your weaponry and/or your ammunition as a result of your support.”

The wife’s given me permission to increase the discretionary budget for firearm and ammo purchases, and I’d have no problem supporting manufacturers of guns and ammo who support this boycott through increased patronage .
