Illegal immigrant tells Congress not to call him illegal (Deport him!)
The Washington Times ^ | February 13, 2013 | Stephen Dinan

Posted on 02/13/2013 10:36:01 AM PST by jazusamo

Jose Antonio Vargas, an illegal immigrant and former reporter, scolded a congressional panel on Wednesday, saying that he should not be called illegal, and saying it is an insult to his family who brought him here.

“When you inaccurately call me illegal, you not only dehumanize me, you’re offending them,” he said. “No human being is illegal.”

Mr. Vargas testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee alongside Chris Crane — a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent and president of the ICE agents’ union — who is unable to arrest him under the administration’s new non-deportation policies.

Mr. Vargas, who “came out” as an illegal immigrant several years ago, delivered an emotional plea for the country to legalize him.

“What do you want to do with us?” he asked the committee.

Last week, a top House Democrat also warned colleagues against using the term “illegal immigrants.”

“Our citizens are not — the people in this country are not illegal. They are are out of status. They are new Americans that are immigrants,” Rep. John Conyers Jr., Michigan Democrat, told colleagues on the House Judiciary Committee.

What have we come to?

This illegal alien goes before the US Senate Judiciary Committee and not only demands he not be called an illegal but demands his supposed rights.

I am offended and dehumanized when I have to pay taxes to support this ILLEGAL ALIEN and any of his relatives.

And, since he’s the ILLEGAL ALIEN, I really don’t give a smelly Obama about how offended he is.

No one said this person is an illegal human being, as in his humanity is against the law. It’s your immigration status that’s against the law, if you entered this country illegally. Then you haven’t just committed a crime, like any else at large, avoiding the authorities. You are an “illegal alien.” That’s the term for it, and that’s not “inaccurate.”

By the way, if someone told a Congressional panel they were another sort of criminal, a thief or a murderer for instance, wouldn’t they be in jail?

He is an illegal alien and an invader. He should be pitched out, denied any future chance at entering the country legally (much less residence or citizenship) and threatened with hard time should he ever enter the country under any conditions, again.

If he is not a lawbreaker, then nobody is a lawbreaker and we should just empty out all the prisons.

On a separate note. I was watching a cooking show in spanish and the lady kept saying that recipes for meal she was preparing is different in the northern states as compared to the southern.

I finally realized that she was calling the United States the northern states and Mexico the southern states.
It seems that it is politically incorrect in Mexico to differentiate.

I’ve been pondering this for a while. How about a bunch of Americans head down to mexico, illegaly of course, and just start wreaking havoc. I’m talking about declaring open season on the drug cartels and corrupt mexican government, plundering and pillaging for fun and profit, with enough firepower to take over the country in an afternoon. I’m talking about wholesale insurrection, and removing the spanish-fascist regime that currently owns the country. Of course the mexicans would have learn english, but that would be a small price to pay for their freedom. Of course the employers in the north wouldn’t like this, but when you have a new country to develop, who cares what they think. Oh, and if the Americans won’t build a fence then the mexicans should to keep their socialist neighbors out.

Agreed. Imagine one of these guys going up to an interview at a US Embassy to apply for an immigrant visa...

"So, how do you plan on making a living once you've moved to California?"

"I'm going to perform day labor for cash under the table, refuse to learn English, use a fake SSN and not pay any taxes, demand a drivers license and full welfare benefits, and have my kids educated in public schools in my native language, not yours."

"Ok, that sounds just fine, here you go!"

Of course not. And yet those who profit from illegals would have you pretend they're the same as any legal immigrant.

If we have to keep illegal Jose here, we can’t be selective can we? We’ll have to allow illegals from EVERYWHERE here too right? Wouldn’t want to be waaaasssis.

If we endorse persons to live here illegally, should we honestly expect anyone to comply with any of our other laws?

If the next 9/11 attack is the result of a porous border - who exactly is at fault for that?

I was about to say all you’d be doing is pushing the problem further southward. It wouldn’t be the Mexicans’ job to build the fence, either, because the whole point is that we’d be conquering Mexico. We wouldn’t build a wall down there for the same reason we won’t build a wall now, aside from the fact that the border would be shorter.

Surely there’s be lots to develop. But why would the feds suddenly accommodate economic growth? Why would environuts ease up? All we’d be doing is adding millions of passengers ont the Welfare State gravy train.

It is possible. She was saying that in order to prepare a roast in northern states it was not necessary to wash the meat due to the stricter processing regulations. While in the southern states it was recommended that that the meat be washed before beginning the preparation due to the less strict regulations.

I thought she was referring to different countries.

Alyinsky type tactic, changing using illegal to describe actions a person took to making it seem the PERSON'S humanness is illegal, therefore don't use the term.

Conyers is a traitorous appeaser of any group that can be seen as a voter base for the democrats.

For years I have been referring to people who are not citizens and have infiltrated our border as Illegal Alien Criminal Invading Insurgent Colonists.

Which is exactly what they are. They do not want to assimilate (which is what immigration to this country is all about) but want to usurp citizens and our Constitution and turn the USA into a third world country through colonization.

All the whining and crying about we must let them stay is a crock. You gonna put them all on buses and drive them back to the southern border? A stupid strawman.

Several states have passed laws to not allow non-citizens to get welfare, foodstamps, healthcare, and not allow non citizen children to use our schools.

and most of them left, some back to Mexico and the rest to "sanctuary states" and in those states unemployment went down and the states became more prosperous.

Self deportation would work REAL well if only the laws were enforced.

I believe the ones going through the legal avenues have to show they won't be a financial burden to our government.

It's been calculated that for every working Illegal Alien Criminal Invading Insurgent Colonist here in this country costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.

What with all the free benefits and bring grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins to also reap the benefits of welfare etc etc

Calif voted on a measure to keep these criminal insurgents from taking advantage of these perks and it passed.

One LEFTIST judge deemed it unconstitutional and so it is not implemented.

None of the republicans fought it.

Imagine how California's econonmy would have improved if that measure would have been the law of the land in Calif.

Jose Antonio Vargas should go back - to whatever the hellhole country he came from is called - and TELL THEM to stop the gangs, quit worshiping Hispanic elites, and run free and honest elections. Until then I don't want him bringing his creepy culture here to infect what's left of ours...

Hey Jose Antonio Vargas we love immigrants - LEGAL immigrants.

Jose Antonio Vargas - you're a thief who broke into someone's home and thinks you should be treated like an invited guest. You were NOT invited. Go HOME Jose Antonio Vargas... go home. You're not welcome here except by corrupt democrat politicians who want to buy your vote. Democrats don't have the right to give away our country. Your type props them up. You know their kind... you have them in the country you escaped from - we don't want them here. Don't come here and keep them in office. They'll turn this country into the kind of place you escaped from... It's time - go home. Make your own country worth living in...

Actually I agree that he should not be called an “illegal alien”. Yes, he *is* an illegal alien. But the expression has been overused in the public dialogue, which makes it muddled in the public mind.

The left wants to call them “undocumented immigrants”, and we should not let them get away with that, but instead, revitalize *in the public mind*, what they really are.

“MEXICAN CITIZENS”.

Let me demonstrate how radically different and downright offensive this guy’s testimony becomes when you change the wording.

*****

Jose Antonio Vargas, a MEXICAN CITIZEN and former reporter, scolded a congressional panel on Wednesday, saying that he should not be called a MEXICAN CITIZEN, and saying it is an insult to his family who brought him here.

“When you inaccurately call me a MEXICAN CITIZEN, you not only dehumanize me, you’re offending them,” he said. “No human being is a MEXICAN CITIZEN.”

Mr. Vargas, who “came out” as a MEXICAN CITIZEN several years ago, delivered an emotional plea for the country to legalize him.

“What do you want to do with us?” he asked the committee.

Last week, a top House Democrat also warned colleagues against using the term “MEXICAN CITIZENS.”

“Our MEXICAN CITIZENS are not — the people in this country are not MEXICAN CITIZENS. They are are out of MEXICO. They are new Americans that are MEXICAN CITIZENS,” Rep. John Conyers Jr., Michigan Democrat, told colleagues on the House Judiciary Committee.

Many MEXICAN CITIZEN-rights advocates object to the terms “MEXICAN” and “CITIZEN,” saying that people cannot be deemed MEXICANS, and that the word “MEXICAN” makes them sound inhuman. They argue the better terms are “UNDOCUMENTED MEXICAN CITIZENS.”

Many newspapers, including The Washington Times, use the phrase “MEXICAN CITIZENS,” deeming it the most accurate description.

Mr. Vargas called himself an “UNDOCUMENTED MEXICAN CITIZEN.”

He is one of a number of MEXICAN CITIZENS who have come out of the shadows to argue their case for UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP.

He came to the U.S. to live with his grandfather, who was a UNITED STATES CITIZEN, but Mr. Vargas was never a UNITED STATES CITIZEN himself — a fact he found out when he went to get a driver’s license at age 16.

At least five other MEXICAN CITIZENS were scheduled to be guests at Tuesday’s State of the Union address, though each of those has been granted specific tentative legal status AS A VISITING MEXICAN CITIZEN through one of the Homeland Security Department’s programs.

Next, I noticed that the drivers and washers - who are usually (human) illegals - made up about half of the staff. The rest of the “dryers” were either black or white. Hmmmm. Our own govt is siding with illegals against taxpaying citizens.

The phony "just here for a better life" crowd who freely violate our borders and "do the jobs Americans won't do" have more criminal enterprises than you can shake a stick at.

<><>ICE's "documents and benefits fraud task force" found a common practice among "impoverished" illegals is to buy several faked identities for several thousand dollars each----the illegal then votes and rides the US gravy train under several names.

<><> Jose Madrigal---the Washington state rapist---had some 30 identities. And probably voted and collected US benefits under every single identity.

<><>June 26, 2010 An illegal using multiple identities was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay back $3 million in fraudulently obtained unemployment compensation. Manuel Mejia Ordonez, got eight years for conspiracy to commit mail fraud........and identity theft.

<><> Hilderberto Salinas sold state drivers' licenses issued out of the state’s Motor Vehicle Agency in NJ to illegals with multiple identities who did not have the necessary id's....among 40 people who participated in the widespread ring. "Impoverished" illegals paid $2,500 to $7,000 apiece for the licenses.

============================================

The majority of lawbreakers----illegal aliens---here are Mexicans.

AS FREEPER TADSLOS INSIGHTFULLY POSTED: "Americans have the foreign government of Mexico (and its co-conspirators in the Third World), that continually and relentlesly meddle in the internal affairs of the US----and BOTH vote-crazed political parties----- and ALL three branches of our government---- enable and actively participate in the process. Mexico, however, would NEVER cede it’s sovereignty to the US - but they sure don’t mind taking our foreign aid dollars. Mexico is a giant leech, sucking us dry."

MEXICO IS MEDDLING IN US POLITICS---signs petition for U.S. gun control

===================================================

Mexico and the Third World are pushing north at a furious pace----visions of foreign aid tax dollars dancing in their heads. These are more of their Fifth Column pressure groups acting on orders from their homelands.

The Mexican government adopts one, very smooth, tone when speaking to its patsies in America---vote-crazed US pols---- and another, very militant, tone when speaking to its own people about its ruthlessness in pursuing its own national interest at the expense of ours.

As long as vote-crazed politicans continue to suck-up to hyphenates to get re/elected, this scam will continue.
