Honolulu (AP) - A bill that would have legalized marijuana in Hawaii has died in the state House.

House judiciary committee Chairman Karl Rhoads said Tuesday that he decided to kill the bill after learning from House leadership that the initiative does not have enough votes to pass the House.

Key lawmakers in the Democratic-controlled House supported the measure, including the speaker and the majority leader.

Democrats love more drugs for our teenagers, pregnant women in combat, the destruction of Holy Matrimony, and making us pay for innocent blood.

Maybe the failed in Hawaii, but do you think they will stop trying?

And Republicans should support decriminalization because it takes power away from the government.

LOL...because alcohol and its physical addictions is such a smashing success. Its a freaking plant that is psychologically addictive;. Besides inhaling marijuana, the plant has many uses as “hemp” and could be quite useful in this country; but let’s keep it schedule “1” with heroin and other REAL narcotics.

Nominally tax it for recreational use, use it heavily for industrial (non-THC) applications. Its fibers can breed all sorts of new building materials (no, not whole structures, talking “particle board” type applications).

Not really ~ just a bunch of tokers can now bother others without fear of state interference.

So I come over to quiet your party down and you do what...........

Well, no answer needed ~ you know what you'll do.

That doesn't mean it's over.

I don’t partake (recently had a hair follicle test that backs up my claim). You however show your true colors with labeling. I am a Conservative, the type that is for personal responsibility. You must be a Republican however, since we are labeling; am I far off the mark?

Straw man. If a "bunch of tokers" are bothering you or anyone else, its called harassment; there are laws on the books already for that. If you don't like marijuana, just say so. I don't smoke it but don't see the harm in it, NOW, federally legal substances on the other hand?

Easy there, it’s hard to undo 70 years of propaganda at one fell swoop. Never mind that marijuana used to be prescribed by doctors for numerous ailments and didn’t cause anal leakage, heart palpitations, hives, dizziness and blurred vision. Besides you can’t be a real conservative if you don’t approve of no-knock raids, dog shootings and confiscation of property. We support the Constitution unless you’re a damned Hippie-Dope-Head and then it doesn’t apply to you.

Cops who smell marijuana coming from your home can break down your door and arrest you, just as long as they knock first and claim to have heard you destroying evidence. They don’t need a warrant or probable cause, either. Today in America, police can now randomly patrol neighborhoods and apartment complexes sniffing around for pot. When they smell it, they can knock on your door and then break it down, claiming they heard noises from within. You don’t have to be a pot smoker to appreciate where this is going. The coming police state was furnished by the drug war. Where these potheads really worth sacrificing The Republic for?

Hussein would never retire in Hawaii.
Far too distant from the media spotlight which he covets.

However, there will be a branch of the Baraq Hussein Obama Presidential Library and Choom Gang Museum there.
