I dont think theres really much harm in burning carbon, but theres really nothing positive about it, so Id rather discourage that than working, saving, investing, etc. Nothing positive except comfort and survival. Right now I am burning carbon (aged dead trees to be precise) and my LR is a toasty 70 with a bit of snow outside. Without that carbon burning my pipes would freeze tonight and I would get no sleep among other problems.

Its better than cap and trade. Id be open to it if we could eliminate the income tax in exchange. How is it better?

Start taxing non relgious non profits and family trust accounts like the Kennedy’s live off of in exchange for this carbon tax bill. That should be a good kick to their guts! ;-)
