Guns And Ammo Production Maxed Out: This Is A Society Preparing For War
Mac Slavo
February 14th, 2013
President Barack Obama is, arguably, the best gun salesman ever. Over 65 million guns have been purchased since the President took office in 2009. FBI background check statistics indicate that, over the last twelve months, Americans purchased a new gun every 1.5 seconds, a figure which suggests there is much more to the recent panic buying than people just stocking up to go hunting or sports shooting.
The following guns and ammo industry report indicates that every major gun and ammunition manufacturer in the country is running at 100% capacity, with many so far behind that theyve stopped taking new orders altogether.
Smith & Wesson-is running at Full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages.
RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days.
FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1. Remington-Maxed out!
Armalite: Maxed out.
DPMS: Cant get enough parts to produce any more product.
COLT: Production runs increasing weekly bottle necked by Bolt carriers.
LWRC:Making only black guns, running at full capacity cant get enough gun quality steel to make barrels.
Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind.
AMMO: Every caliber is now Allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible w/ of 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by L.E. and civilians are third in line.
MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags, do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon.
RELOADERS ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extras for reloading purposes it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Stay tuned, well keep you posted
Many who have exercised their Second Amendment protections are first time buyers concerned with Federal and State gun grabs being spearheaded by politicians who are using the Sandy Hook school shooting as a pretext to restrict access to personal defense rifles, larger capacity magazines, and even ammunition.
But this may only be a part of why theres so much demand. There are millions of Americans who are genuinely concerned with not just the government taking their guns, but all of their other Constitutionally protected freedoms as well.
We understand what happens in regimes that disarm their people. Weve seen the democide of the last century, which left hundreds of millions of people dead or displaced when their governments turned on them.
We are determined to prevent it from happening in the land of the free.
Manufacturers were running full-bore, but couldnt come close to keeping up with market demand.
It wasnt just the AR-15s, the AK-pattern rifles, the M1As, and the FALs that were sold out. It really hit me when I realized that the World War-era M1 Garands, M1 carbines, and Enfield .303s were gone, along with every last shell. Ubiquitous Mosin-Nagantsof which every gun store always seems to have 10-20were gone. So was their ammo. Only a dust free space marked their passing. Ive never seen anything like it.
Every weapon of military utility designed within the past 100+ years was gone.
This isnt a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war.

With over 300 million firearms in America in the hands of private citizens, the people are sending a loud and clear message to their government.
Back off. Stop encroaching on our personal liberties. Limit yourself to your Constitutionally granted powers and nothing more.
Youre not the only ones that are armed.
“WOLVERINES!”
“HONEYBADGERS”!!!!
If those LA cops are any indication they might need about 40 shots for every patriot.
Or preparing to avert one. Depends on one’s perspective.

If you're not familiar with the Battle of Helm's Deep, in the movie, Aldor, this gentleman, holds his arrow waveringly and eventually loses his grip and launches the first shot against the orcs.
It's only a matter of time. The nation is truly on pins and needles.
The military are our sons and daughters.
The Police are our neighbors.
The Department Of Homeland Security lives in their mother’s basement.
I think we’ve got the edge for the Civil War V2.0 that 0bama is fomenting.

And I've got a thing or two to say. You'll be able to hear me at 500 yards. Bring it.
This isnt a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war.
This article been debunked.
In fact, people associated with Smith & Wesson have scoffed at this blog’s claim that they can only produce ~300 guns per day.
Back off. Stop encroaching on our personal liberties. Limit yourself to your Constitutionally granted powers and nothing more.
Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, don't appear to be listening - and those just the states I've read about today... the jury is still out on what the Fed will try!
That didn't stop them mistaking a blue Nissan for a grey Toyota, and shooting it up because two little old hispanic ladies look soooo much like a large, middle-aged black man.
I don't trust local LEO.
They hire by quotas, not by merit anymore.
..and a cue to buy gas masks for their incendiary tear gas.
fourth-generation war
Well, to New Mexico's limited credit, the bill that passed the house is a very watered down version of the original. The new version states that all firearms purchases at gun shows must have a background check.
The original version was such that it required background checks on all sales from private party to private party, including relatives.
While I'm against this bill on principal, it really is watered down and essentially treats all those selling guns at gun shows equally.
They heard us loud and clear on the original versions, but they seem to have gone deaf on the final. We may have to help their hearing come election time.
“I think weve got the edge for the Civil War V2.0 that 0bama is fomenting.”
Damn right. If Obozo thinks the military and police will blindly obey his orders to march on the American people, he’s in for a rude awakening. As a master sergeant in the Air Force Reserve, I will NOT obey illegal orders.
They may be playing loose with the numbers - but I have requests in at several online sites for .308 ammo that say they will let me know when they have some.
Although I have seen on the local gun trader site that folks have ammo and guns for sale.
Now that’s the most artful statement I’ve read all day!
So, so true.
“WOLVERINES!
Can’t EVER bring myself to yell that.
We’ll just go with what works around here...
“GO BUCKEYES!”
Would the cops know the difference between a Vera Wang and Kim Kardashian hand bag?? PROBABLY.
War Eagle!
I have a carbine; thus far the .30 cal has been readily available. I have some swedish stuff that is beautiful to shoot.
You are correct. Finding .308 is nearly impossible — coast to coast. And, those who have .308 are selling insane prices, as in, more than double the cost of standard prices.
So, I understand what the blogger is saying, and I suspect you are right that while making his point he was playing a little loose with the stats.
Whatever the case, I do hope supply comes back into congruity with demand soon. Nobody wants to go to the range and shoot ammo that they cannot resupply.
LOL We doesn’t care!
“SPORK WEASEL!”
A buckeye, a hairy nut from ohio.
At least that’s what a friend of mine from ohio
used to tell me. If he saw an Ohio plate he would
go right up to them like they were next door neighbors
and they’d start yakking about Ohio.....
“This is a society preparing for war.”
My Rock River LAR-15 5.56, with optics, is just for shootin’ rabbits.
My Remington 870 tactical 12-gage, extended tube, etc., is just for birds.
My old .308 rifle and 30.30s are just for deer.
My handguns are for shootin’ moles and frogs.
All of the food, my medications and other stuff that I have stocked up on, is for when we go on extended camping vacations.
About that big cave looking hole I have been using my backhoe to dig into the side of my mountain, well, that’s just going to be a large fruit cellar.
Nope, I am not one of those Civil War people.... I’m not worried about that kind of stuff, because I know that Obama and our government leaders will take care of me.
Bump for later when blood pressure recedes...
I do hope you do hold them accountable next election.
Everyone at a gun show are not equal - some are FFLs, and some are not.
A non-FFL should not have to jump through hoops just because the guy behind him says, "Hey, that's a nice rifle. What will you take for it?"
I read this a few weeks ago...same numbers, same info with some new stuff added on.
If you can hear it, the shooter missed.... (would still make me put my head down though lol)
I just hope there aren't a lot of good people murdered in vain for defending their rights. I believe that could only happen with inaction by those who believe the cause, but never run out of alternative solutions that don't really exist. The stronger the Patriot movement the better chance we have at peace. If they perceive a weakness they are more likely to try something big in my opinion.
The states need to start organizing large militias that send a message of what it will cost to impose tyranny on the state. Most superior military forces wouldn't be willing to kill so many other Americans just following orders. There are foreign troops who wouldn't mind though.

Heh
If he hears you at any distance, you missed!
(1) As a reloader, I am aware of the shortage of reloading parts, but it is not as bad as described. Last week I purchased two pounds of powder, but to find the exact brand and type I wanted, I needed to visit four stores that usually carry what I want. I saw primers in various sizes and brands while I was looking for powder. There are shortages, but mostly just low stock in most stores.
(2) Yes, there are also a lot of calibers of loaded ammo that are in short supply and many shelves are a lot more bear than normal.
(3) The local gun shop I went to had lots of bolt action rifles (including Arisaka’s and Nagants) and lots of shotguns. It also had lots of semi-automatic handguns and rifles, including several black rifles that Dianne F wants to ban. The price tags on the black rifles were a lot more than I wanted to pay and a good $300 to $500 more than what I could have purchased them for say a year ago.
In short, there is a huge demand caused by panic buying and resulting shortages. As someone who frequents gun shows, I think this is great, as in a few years there will be lots of buying opportunities as people get rid of older weapons, or inherited firearms.
I suspect that a lot of folks are “upgrading” the firearms they have. That is buying a new pistol in a service caliber or a new rifle with better features than the one that was in their gun safe.
We are the “most armed” country in the World, with around 88.9 firearms per 100 people. This work out to about 280 million firearms. So if just a small percentage of the 319 million people in this country deside to buy a couple of boxes of ammo or a new handgun, then the demand can overwhelm the supply chain.
“With over 300 million firearms in America in the hands of private citizens, the people are sending a loud and clear message to their government”
They are not listening which is the most dangerous part of it all.
True enough. They’d have a brief sense of impact, though.

You could be 100% totally in the right simply defending yourself buy the time the news media is done smearing you you will be no better then some no good street criminal and the police will exercise extreme prejudice on you same as Dorner, the Branch Dividians and Ruby Ridge. I have never seen so many trigger happy cops as the video of the Dorner shootout. What the hell were they shooting at? did they have a clear view of the target or were they just getting some full auto trigger time??
The ammo bubble will eventually pop and that my friend is when I am going to buy some.
We are a chummy bunch, no doubt...
Not like those “up north”.
Natch, my sister went & married one of THEM, and lives there to this day. At least he’s a 2A conservative & they’re in the Hillsdale area...
But still...Wolverines...UGH
Response: Agreed if you mean Social War.(Some call it Civil War.)
Comment: The only problem being the left is more highly prepared, better leaders, has access to better equipment, has access to better propaganda promulgation; better organized, and an overall higher intelligence. As of the next five years the left would wipe the conservatives off the face of the earth. For conservatives to prevail much work has to be done.
Agreed.
My two (rep and senator) stated they'd both be voting against the original bill as presented, however, it appears my rep has voted for this latest version. It goes to the senate next, and I will be reminding my senator about his statement to me.
As for my rep, I will be reminding him of his prior position shortly.
That is the real problem; I have enough ammo for any real need, but I'm not going to burn it up at the range anymore.
