Missouri Democrats are pushing a bill to confiscate guns giving gun owners 90 days to turn in their weapons. Minnesota Democrats are pushing the same bill.
Missouri Democrats introduced an anti-gun bill which would turn law-abiding firearm owners into criminals this week. Gun owners will have 90 days to turn in their guns if the legislation is passed. Dana Loesch has more details.
Here is the language:
4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:
(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

Of course it is. Their objective is nationwide gun confiscation from all ordinary citizens. They are organized, coordinated, and determined. They are also arrogant and overconfident and this can be used against them. Get politicians on the record supporting this, they can be subsequently defeated. Some states will pass this nonetheless (New York already has). They will all be challenged in court and the more challenges, the more chances of a judicial smackdown.
The fight will be nasty and it will be long, but it can be won, just don't give an inch.

Don’t the dems have a super-majority? Minnesota seems to go further left each year. They turned down voter ID, protecting marriage, and it wouldn’t surprise me if everyone outside of Sherburne, Carver, and Wright just handed their guns over (in the public interest, of course).

If you look at the statement it says you have to turn in your legally owned guns. Guess what? Mine are immediately all illegal.
So what if this passes, I would bet that less then 1% of Minnesotans would turn in their firearms, which would result in about 80% of Minnesotans suddenly outlaws.
One other unintentional side effect that libs may or may not have considered...if states require companies which do business with the state to be their “enforcement arm” via HR departments, you will also have a major job losses. I know of many people in the utility industry who are both well armed and quite capable without all of modern lifes convienences. These people will neither give up their weapons nor be fired for not turning in their weapons without a response (imagine city sewer, electricity, fire and emergency services disappearing).
Even if there are lots of unemployed out there, they can’t just step into many of these jobs without the support of those who have been doing this for a while. Contrary to popular liberal belief, things run much different then how an instruction manual says. Not everything can be covered by written procedures, that’s why you have people with specific field experience to train in the new people.
It sets a bad precedent.
Not even Obamalamadingdong is dumass enough to try to invade states that refuse to abide his gun restrictions.
I’ll bet you there are more private citizens with “assault weapons” than Federal occifers willing to try to come take ‘em away.
I figure this is an attempt by the libturds to ask for a mile and accept a foot. If they can outlaw “hicap mags” they have accomplished enough to sit back a while. I’m with Tom Gresham, a 30-round mag in an AR is a “standard capacity magazine in a modern sporting rifle” not a “high capacity magazine in an assault rifle.”
None of my firearms ever killed any school children and most of the victims of gun violence live in Democrap strongholds as far as I can tell. Chicago is like the poster city for gun violence, talk about your gun-free zones. They set a record every year for homocides.

As a cousin in Kentucky said, they might find their way into the hills and hollows, but they won’t find their way out.
I suspect so.
They will run the bill (and fail) in conservative states in order to get the wheels rolling in flaming loberal states (e.g. Calif) where it will pass.
Once that is done, more "middle" states will get rolling and so on.
I further suspect, should this really happen, many will die trying to collect or not surrender their arms.

That might work in Missouri, but it may backfire in Minnesota.
The ‘rats have the majority there, and I predict there’s a decent chance that legislation this draconian might actually pass there.
The blue states currently seem to be engaged in a contest as to which one can pass the most restrictive gun laws.
Folks, we have a chance in the red and purple states, but the blue states may very well be lost to us on this issue. That’s the reality of the new “divided America”.
Like back in the days of Dred Scott, perhaps the only recourse for conservatives to keep their freedom may be to escape ‘cross enemy lines!
Just have to wait and see what happens next....
Go make an appointment and personally visit them at their office in the capital. It is better than email or letters. IFyou can give money to a Minnesota gun organization, do so. They can hire a lobbyist to work with these people full time.

Is it to spur the National Socialist regime of his excellency, the Dear Liar (Peas be upon him) into adopting the same language?
Or is it designed to make the state Demoncraps look like extreme nutcases (not to hard to do that) and the Proggies at the national level look like “moderates” by only pushing for Universal Gun Registration?
