Scroll through some threads here. While they aren’t overt, they sure do sympathize with his so called war on the LAPD.

No. They didn’t make Dorner a hero, just because they question the police tactics of shooting vehicles and crap

I don't pretend to know what his war with the LAPD was about, so I can't speak to that. We only 'know' what was reported and attributed by the media. I suppose we could suddenly trust them to get things 100% correct.

If, however, those accounts are correct, the LAPD's war on Dorner is a red flag for everyone.

They, as evidenced by the fusilade unleashed against two women delivering papers, had decided they were judge, jury, and executioner, and operated in contemptuous violation of the Constitution. (The newspaper ladies weren't even shooting at them).

I'm a fan of the Constitution, not Dorner, and not the LAPD, either.

However, if there was widespread corruption in the department, I'd expect a mob-style hit order to 'just kill the m-f-er', because no one involved would want to take a chance that the lid would be peeled back during testimony in court.

As for the cabin, severely damage a predominantly wood structure and fire pyrotechnic tear gas rounds into the pile, and you can reasonably expect it will catch fire.

"Not knowing" it would cause a fire was the excuse used at Waco, too, after poking flue holes in the building and pumping the it full of CS powder carried in methylene chloride (a flammable liquid used in carburetor cleaner).

When those sworn to uphold the law are so willing to operate in contempt of it, no matter who they are, we should all be concerned.

Whether or not Dorner had a legitimate beef against the LAPD regarding his firing WE will never know. If he did have a legitimate beef or not, his approach to dealing with HIS problem was abborant and disgusting. On the other hand, the over-reaction by law enforcement leading to members of law enforcement firing on two separate vehicles which had nothing to do with Dorner, severely injuring at least one elderly woman, is also abborant and disgusting.

Dunno.
I think most of them are just disgusted with the LAPD.
There isn’t much to respect about incompetents who can’t tell a blue pick-up from gray one, and can’t tell Hispanic women from a black man.
Dorner himself was scum and deserved to die. But the LAPD carried out a murderous caricature of police work in trying to get him.
