S.E. Cupp: ‘We can’t be afraid to call out Rush Limbaugh’
Daily Caller ^ | 2./14/2013 | Matt K. Lewis

Posted on 02/14/2013 10:13:16 PM PST by Mozilla

The New York Times has a must-read up on how the GOP is losing the tech war — and losing the youth vote.

But tucked away in the piece, I found this:

[W]e can’t be afraid to call out Rush Limbaugh,” said Goodwin’s fiancée, S. E. Cupp, a New York Daily News columnist and a co-host of”The Cycle”on MSNBC. “If we can get three Republicans on three different networks saying, ‘What Rush Limbaugh said is crazy and stupid and dangerous,’ maybe that’ll give other Republicans cover” to denounce the talk-show host as well.

Good luck with that!

Where does MSNBC keep finding these new scumbag liberal mice to put on the air?
They seem to multiply like cockroaches.

You mistake me as anti-Rush. I’m not. And I tune in at least once a week. He’s good at inside baseball. Just not a good spokesman to the uninitiated. RWR had that nailed-down.

We are also doomed because people who claim to be conservatives, but are really not conservatives are infiltrating the grassroots, tea party and the republican party claiming to be one of us and lying and then twisting conservatism. Plants. It is a mix of democrats, libertarians and rinos. And that is the reason we eat each other up because they want to divide us and that is their mission. But also we become unable to trust anybody because they might backstabb.

“... win over anyone to our side ...”

And you say you listen to him ..?? I’ve heard people over and over again call in to the program to tell him the exact opposite. They say they have been a liberal or dem for all their life but for (and they explain how they began listening to him) and how he has changed their lives.

He’s drawing people to him all the time .. because people are looking for the truth; and they know it when they hear it.

Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan and appreciate his value to the party. Been listening to him since the early 90's.

I'm calling you a liar.

And that is what I have been shouting from the rooftops. But many don’t care. Moderation is the new buzzward and “How dare you question my conservatism!” is the new mantra.

If people want to call themselves conservative while accepting/trading abortion, gay marriage, gun control and illegal immigration for GOP votes, they can do it without me. I am far from perfect, but I am not stupid enough to try calling black white and thinking people should believe it.

Well, Rush is not RWR - Rush is Rush .. but Rush believes more in RWR than anybody that I’ve ever known or met.

I listen every day. Rush knows more about what’s really going on than anybody else.

Rush Limbaugh AND Mark Levin...listen to them every day. They are an education and you learn things daily. Sign up for Rush's daily show updates, if you miss a show, and listen to Mark Levin online by finding a radio station on his web page, www.marklevinshow.com and listening, or download the program, which is free, if you miss a show.

"I'm calling you a liar."

Careful what you say. I'm sure nobody who knows me in real life would call me that.

Started listening to Rush about 1992 or 1993.>br>
I won't take it back and say he's perfect and God's gift to conservatism. Did I blaspheme or something?

Rush has some damn good ideas at times. His latest is to include info from the Hollywood and sports culture scene into his daily programs. Apparently, this inclusion has drawn the attention of the low-information folks who know nothing else but Hollywood, or sports or socialist- mainstream news outlets for their news. According to Rush, his increase in audience numbers proves that he was correct in his assumptions. I did hear one phone call from a woman who explained how she accidentally heard Rush on her car radio and realized that she had never heard of Benghazi on socialist-mainstream radio or TV, and when she learned of the Ambassador's death, she decided to listen to the next news broadcast to hear more of the details. When the news program gave a short reference to Benghazi, she said she got mad and researched it herself, and realized that the left has not been reporting all the news. She admitted that she was low information, and that with her home, children, job, she had little time and energy to find out what was happening in this country. At best, when she could grab a few minutes to herself at the end of the day, it was to watch something that would entertain her, and no force her to think. When she heard Rush, she contacted her 700 friends on Facebook and told them to listen to Rush, that they were not being told the truth on the various media about what was happening in this country. And she said that she was told that some of her friends are going to listen to Rush in the future because they like that he talks about their Hollywood culture, as well as politics. Rush had a hook and he brought em’ in. He is clever and he never stops trying to stop the left. He AND Mark Levin are a must listen to daily.

“But he’s not particularly deep, and shouldn’t be the voice of the party. That much I’ll concede.”

You aren’t anti-Rush, but you say “Rush does go off on tangents at times, and is frequently over-the-top” and he “is expected to be bombastic, God bless him.”

Errmmm...no.

He’s expected to be right, which he is 99.6% of the time. The Sullivan Group has been logging this for many, many years.

“...I tune in at least once a week.”

That’s your problem. You don’t know Rush. You don’t know him, at all.

BTW, before 1976, RWR was “just an actor.” During 1976 and 1980, the left and the GOPe reminded us of Bonzo. My point is that the road wasn’t always easy for RWR, either. Both speak over the media, though. That’s a gift...to us...if you will listen.

"He’s expected to be right, which he is 99.6% of the time"

Yes. But being right isn't enough. You have to be able to convince people that what they've heard all their lives from gradeschool on through adulthood is WRONG. Just vilifying the opposition isn't enough (even when you're dead right).

If you want a real spokesman, read P.J. O'Rourke. He predated Rush by at least half-a-decade and does a much better job of easing people into conservatism.

Okay, I may have been unduly harsh.

That said, regardless of when you “started listening” to Rush (for me it was 1990), do you claim to be a regular daily listener? I am fortunate to be self-employed and on the road or in my home office much of the time, and I get to listen to most of Rush’s programming every day, week after week.

Some of your comments were the kind of comments spouted liberals who have never listened to Rush: “lacks ideological/intellectual depth”, “can be a bit of a winsock/blowhard at times”, “over-the-top”, “bombastic”, “not particularly deep”, “shouldn’t be the voice of the party”.

If you’re not a liar about listening to Rush, then you’re clueless. Is that more polite?

Don’t know who Cupp is but she is part of this incestuous eastern seaboard group radiating north from DC each boasting to each other how high they’re getting puffing on their borax..

HERE US THE WEDGE ISSUE THAT WON’T BE USED
AND BECAUSE THEY WON’T
IT MUST COME FROM THE GROUND UP
.Does anybody remember what the Democrats did at their convention ??? First they eliminated any mention of the word GOD...and when they thought twice about doing that they reintroduced the resolution what happened ? They booed God....That resolution was rammed through just like the Affordable Health Care Act ...

Was that fact used in any of the material Rove’s RINOS spewed forth during the 2012 Romney or US senate races his group of GOPES (Government Ofthe People Elite Snobs) used on their hit list ? I like using that acronym because it rhymes with dopes.

Noooo ! They could have used that episode to point out how far to the left the democrat party has been hyphenated into;
Demo-Coms

...Instead well we don’t like Aikin ...He said what ? OMG OMG he’s unqualified ...If there was a chance he would have been burned at the stake by Rove’s RINOS and from the so called “conservative “ talkies spouting Rove’s tripe.

WHAT YOU DIDN’T HEAR WAS THIS IN ANY REBUTTAL
...While at their convention the Democrats were busy dening God....Well at least Aikin believes in something like the ten commandments. Including Thou shalt not steal and doesn’t believe that getting elected to office gives you a license to do steal ... Which his opponent seems to have done rather well since being in office.

...AND THAT INCLUDES THE DEMOCRAT LEADERSHIP, PELOSI, REID AND TOO MANY OTHERS INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT WHO IS LIVING HIGH OFF THE HOG FROM THE COLLECTIVE TROUGH KNOWN AS THE US TREASURY

The same thing with Mourdock and all of Rove’s “enemys”.

THE WEDGE STARTS WITH THIS ......

Democrats and ROVE’S RINOS
GOD DENIERS AND CONGENITAL LIARS
ARE REDISTRIBUTE WEALTH INCITERS/
FOR FIRST YOUR MONEY THEN YOUR GUNS
AND BE DEFENSELESS WHEN CROOKS COME

It’s time to get government out of Our face Our religion and and Our pocketbook

(The above is designed to be printed up and passed around your precinct and your friends and neighbors as a (index sized) palmcard. On the face (REVERSE SIDE)or below the slogan you can put the name of the candidate you favor and the election dates...EXCELLENT FOR SLIPPING UNDER WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON CARS PARKED IN KEY PARKING LOTS CHURCHES, RALLY SITES....
