Democrats Seek to Ban Hunting Ammunition in Wisconsin
redstate.com ^ | 2/15/12 | briansikma

Posted on 02/15/2013 4:49:46 PM PST by Nachum

A Democratic state senator and three Democratic state representatives have circulated draft legislation that would ban civilian possession of hollow point or frangible ammunition in Wisconsin. According to existing Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources regulations, sportsmen and women in Wisconsin must use such ammunition when hunting deer or bear. The Democratic lawmakers, two of whom are freshman, all hail from urban districts in the City of Milwaukee.

The reasoning behind the legislation is somewhat muddled. The impact, however, is quite clear. According to a legislative counsel review of the legislation, it would essentially make it impossible for civilians to hunt deer or bear in Wisconsin.

“The provision in the bill draft that provides whoever intentionally sells, transports or possesses any bullet that expands or flattens easily in the human body is guilty of a Class H felony conflicts with current DNR hunting rules. Under s. NR 10.09 (1)(c)2., ‘no person shall hunt any deer or bear with any air rifle, rim-fire rifle, any center-fire rifle less than .22 caliber, any .410 bore or less shotgun or handgun loaded with .410 shotgun shell ammunition or with ammunition loaded with nonexpanding type bullets or ammunition loaded with shot other than a single slug or projectile.’ The bill draft does not provide an exception to the prohibition on possessing expanding bullets for deer or bear hunting.” (Emphasis added)

Does that make it 3 midwestern states on the same day with the same legislation? Minn., Iowa, and now Wisc?

Just as Obamsky is speechifying in Chicago.

Do these idiots understand that hollow point ammunition is designed to stop inside of a person, where full metal jacket ammunition usually goes right through?

Hollow point ammunition is what Joycelyn Elders wished for with “safer bullets.”

They must know that the Second Amendment is for hunting Tyrants!

The United States Citizens KNOW that they're going to have to fight TYRANTS in their own government.
You cannot protect life, without the ability to take life.

While you are WAITING for the police to respond, someone could be losing their life.
All people of a responsible age should be armed.

As EternalVigilance reminded us:

Click here to read the 12 page pamphlet.

Let us NEVER FORGET THAT !

Let's subjugate them to OUR end game, DUST!
"COMPROMISE" is a DIRTY word!
People who study the Bible know that COMPROMISE almost always leads to destruction.

It's time to mock the "Gun Control" Zombies!
"Gun Control" is a firm grip, steady breathing, accurate aim (developed by lots of practice), and a slow trigger pull.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
We need to learn from the Swiss and implement their "gun control measures" here in the United States right now, today!
These laws are the ones we should shove into the "2nd Amendment Haters" faces.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
Let's adopt THEIR LAWS !

Remember: Read Second Amendment: It’s Not About Hunting, IT'S ABOUT TYRANNY .

I propose that we ban Democrats nationwide. It’s for the children. After all, if it saves one child’s life.

Hollow point ammunition is what Joycelyn Elders wished for with “safer bullets.”

They're certainly safer for anyone who happens to be behind the person you're shooting. (Not so safe for the person being hit.)

Furious at the December 1773 Boston Tea Party, Parliament in 1774 passed the Coercive Acts. The particular provisions of the Coercive Acts were offensive to Americans, but it was the possibility that the British might deploy the army to enforce them that primed many colonists for armed resistance. The Patriots of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, resolved: “That in the event of Great Britain attempting to force unjust laws upon us by the strength of arms, our cause we leave to heaven and our rifles.” A South Carolina newspaper essay, reprinted in Virginia, urged that any law that had to be enforced by the military was necessarily illegitimate.

The Royal Governor of Massachusetts, General Thomas Gage, had forbidden town meetings from taking place more than once a year. When he dispatched the Redcoats to break up an illegal town meeting in Salem, 3000 armed Americans appeared in response, and the British retreated. Gage’s aide John Andrews explained that everyone in the area aged 16 years or older owned a gun and plenty of gunpowder.

Military rule would be difficult to impose on an armed populace. Gage had only 2,000 troops in Boston. There were thousands of armed men in Boston alone, and more in the surrounding area. One response to the problem was to deprive the Americans of gunpowder.

Outlaw my firearms and their magazines and their ammo. It's on.

Law abiding people need not apply, we are the enemies of the lawmakers.

We have a ruling class and they have made their minds up. We suck and we need to be stomped out of legal existence. I am the enemy.

There were plenty of "idiots" here and the conservative blogosphere having a cow over the purchase of "hollow point rounds" that were "banned by the Geneva Convention" in the hullabaloo over the large DHS and Social Security agency ammo purchases, so this level of cluelessness unfortunately isn't confined to the Left.

If I wanted to obey their new, proposed laws, I could not, without a lot of time and effort (which I do not have).

I do not know how long it would take to locate the things they are wanting me to find and surrender.

And this is not due to deliberate obfuscation; it is only due to a messy garage (I think the garage — may be a storage shed — or ... well, they are in a ‘safe place’).

"These state DemoQuacks are in an anti-gun frenzy across the country."

A magazine ban just passed the Colorado House by voice vote. Do you know what that means? IMO, it would be a good idea to watch for voice votes vs. roll call votes on certain bills in the various states. There are a few VIP constituents behind each of those politicians and both parties, and most of them would rather continue to be private.

For many years, until Scott Weaver was elected Governor, citizens of Wisconsin were repeatedly frustrated in attempts to secure legal authority for concealed carry. I doubt they are going to accept this cockeyed harassment proposal.

I totally agree. Any such bill would NOT be signed by Governor Walker. In the event a different (Demodummie) gov. were to get elected, my continuing purchase and reloading of ammuntion will continue until I run out of storage capacity. I own several buildings so that may take some time.......

I am very familiar with Atlas Shrugged and the quote in question. This is a little different though. These gun control laws aren't simply another snare to trip when they feel like tying up a citizen in bureaucratic harassment and immobilizing him.

They are direct assaults on basic liberty and the Constitution. They are aimed at instigating fundamental social and political changes by eroding the foundations of our system and demonizing those who defend it.
