well according to the ding bats at CNN it is all caused by global warming
Only when it went over Castro District
See...This is why I’m going back to my planet. One little cultural misunderstanding and you guys act like it was some kind of catastrophe. I’d think by now you Earthers would have gotten over it. But no.
Well you can just shove your “Earth First!” nationalistic bull. I’m leaving.
It’s aliens. They’re searching for Commies. Couldn’t find any in Russia so now they’re looking in California.
All these meteors in the last few days are the kind of stuff that can give a person a feeling of nervousness and unease.
And by ‘a person’ I mean me.
This is some serious omen level stuff.
I can’t begin to imagine how this sort of thing must have looked to people in the past who had little or no understanding of space.
That pic above your post. Clear as day. That is something!
Oh sure...laugh it up.
You bitch about construction tying up traffic for months, so we build you a huge water storage facility in 2.3 seconds and what do we get for it?
Out of spite you burn a bunch of oil, warm the planet and turn the place into a desert... and the thing sits unused.
That’s gratitude for you...
Missed it too. Drat. Maybe tomorrow night...
Wondering if you saw it.
What you saw sounds more like an iridium flare. Were you looking SSE at about a 45 degree angle at around 7:15?
You’d be right, but why argue?
“This is some serious omen level stuff.”
When you see things like the Cleveland Browns winning the Super Bowl or Gloria Allred refusing to take on a stupid lawsuit, THEN we’re getting into serious omen level stuff!
This is not surprising given that the larger asteroid passed by at just 2 earth diameters distance. Must of have several small ones nearby. Remember the big train of blows to Jupiter with comet Shoemaker Levy.
I was getting a bit worried there right before Dec.12... The Browns won three in a row...
But that's as close to omen level as they got..
I remember a sci-fi novel where Earth was struck repeatedly by large meteorites of about this size or larger over and over for several days, because of a unique angle and direction the forces were strong enough in the novel that it stopped the earths rotation.
So all humanity had to flee to a narrow band of temperate weather, one side too hot the other too cold. Earth became like the moon, always a dark side and a bright side.
