School principal angry after rabbi give students free lunch and speech

Many high school students enjoyed free lunch given to them by a local rabbi and while they were eating they listened to a lecture from the rabbi.

Students at Great Neck North High School can hang out at fast food restaurants, go to the houses without supervision or do almost anything they want for lunch. But listening to a Torah lecture in an Orthodox Jewish synagogue should require parental consent, according to the school.

Great idea... I am Jewish so I like the good rabbi’s idea. Christan churches should do the same. Find a hall nearby the school or even a nearby park and give the kids a solid lunch and a religious talk too... some solid religious values

Principal here is laughable and so are the stupid Jewish orgs in town because schools are always trying to spirit their young charges away for some homo indoctrination

Hmm... Bernard Kaplan, the anti-Semite. Sounds unlikely, but is probably true. I suspect Bernie is a Reform Jew, which would explain his response to the Orthodox rabbi. If this had been some other synagogue more in line with his secular/leftist beliefs, he wouldn't have bothered to notify the parents.

BTW, it looks like Kaplan backed off, after the ADL's local attorneys spoke with him.

At least it wasn't this rabbi who gave the dvar Torah. Otherwise the principal probably would have lost it.
