Midway: No LEO Mag and Ammo Sales Where Civilian Bans Apply
The Truth About Guns ^
Posted on 02/16/2013 12:42:41 PM PST by Red in Blue PA
Currently, there are several parts of the country that have restrictions on civilian ownership of certain magazines or types of ammunition. Sometimes it is entire states and sometimes local municipalities pass these regulations, which I consider unconstitutional. At any rate, when we encounter these situations it has always been our policy not to sell to anyone in these areas, regardless of what law enforcement or government credentials they offer up. If the laws change and all law abiding citizens can buy these products we would be happy to sell to Law Enforcement, but not before then. Thanks for taking the time to be involved. I wish all firearms would follow your lead. On Behalf of Larry, Thanks For Your Business, Eric Ellingson Contact Center Supervisor MidwayUSA NRA Endowment Member

Yep. Gun companies need to cut off any agency that promotes a violation of constitutional rights. Start with Washington D.C.

Well, since law enforcement are "civilians", you must restrict sales to them too.

Great work with a distributor! Getting manufacturers on board is important, but manufacturers do not control the sales of the big distributors! So it's very important to talk to distributors like Midway. Good work.

Well, we know that Glock is a German company, probably has big contracts with gobs of U.S. law enforcement agencies and marketing aimed at all of them. Might even be some big discounts for ‘em. Don’t see many policepersons without Glocks. Their super-tacticool ninja teams are sometimes seen with those little, bitty Euro-rifles, too.

Midway USA is a BIG supporter of the NRA and thus by implication, the 2nd amendment. their ‘round-up’ program adds many dollars to the NRA coffers every year...
Midway is my first choice among the online vendors with Cabela’s close behind. AFAIK Cabela’s is retail and thus not a major supplier to government agencies.
We need Ruger, Colt,S&W and Remington to add their instruments to the bandwagon at least as far as direct sells to the gun grabbers...

This is war. I am glad it's just economic and political. For now.
I have been a Midway USA customer for years, and now, I feel the need coming on for another order.
Well done, Midway and Cheaper Than Dirt.
Well done, Templar, Olympia, EFI, York, Magpul and others.
Thanks for standing for the 2nd Amendment for all Americans, not just the standing armies of the big cities.

Wow! I used to buy all my reloading supplies from them (except the hardcast bullets I used: They were from Bull-X). I had a TON of Starline brass in 9mm, .41mag, .44mag, and .45ACP.
Great company to deal with. If I start shooting again and start reloading, I'll be sure to go with them!

I paid a visit to MidwayUSA today. I haven't made any purchases there in a few years. My account is gone. I'm going to see if customer service can restore it. I made a point of thanking them for their support in the process of making the request.

Listened to the gun radio today and heard Magpul told Colorado legislators that they would leave Colorado for Texas or Utah if they banned HiCap Magazines in Colorado.... 200 employees and 400 suppliers would lose their jobs or follow em to their new gun friendly state of choice.
Hats off to Magpul as well. ....!
