Democrats hammered Republicans for voting to go into recess Friday and accused them of willfully avoiding coming up with a plan to avert the sequester.
“The Democrats tried to stop the Republicans from leaving, but 220 Republicans voted to adjourn, that means we have four legislative days left to avoid the across the board cuts,” Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told reporters. “They manufacture a crisis and then instead of trying to avert that crisis they go on a nine day recess. Why?"

“The Republicans are poised to shut down government, the Republicans are poised to let sequestration go forward, which translates to…unemployment. No jobs, it takes us into a recession,” Pelosi said. “That’s not an exact Latin translation but that’s what it means.”

It’s going to hurt me financially (third year of no COLA adjustments and 5% decrease in pay with anticipated furloughs), but I believe it needs to be done in order to open a new route or two towards waking the People up. I just hope that there are enough military leaders that haven’t moved so far to the left that let it all fall apart “to teach them a lesson” instead of finding ways to make things happen. There is a lot of waste in the military, but I believe that we can adapt for now if cooler heads prevail. I just hate that so many deployed troops will be further put upon with extensions of the deployments - it causes a lot of human pain for them and their families.

We are looking at it all wrong. The sequester hurts only one group of people. The middle class. The money that will not be spent because of cuts which will put middle class people out of work will be given to the poor and also to political donors for both Obama and the establishment.
In other words, the rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer and the middle class will pay for it.
When are we going to wake up?

The marxists made a deal to raise the debt ceiling in exchange for reductions in the increase to the baseline, now pretend it never happened and are getting their flying monkeys in the communist press to whip up hysteria among the general populace.
