Washington State Bill Calls for Sheriff to Inspect the Homes of Assault-Weapon Owners

Mod note: the source has changed the title and the body of this article after this was posted.

Forget police drones flying over your house. How about police coming inside, once a year, to have a look around? As Orwellian as that sounds, it isn’t hypothetical. The notion of police home inspections was introduced in a bill last week in Olympia.

Well, they include the right to inspect the property of everyone who signs a farm plan in the plan and no one resisted, so they think that they can get away with inspecting for guns. They also use aerial photography to inspect rural property for violations of such things as zoning, storm water regulations and farm plans.

No one fights back, they just complain and then sign the stupid farm plans. They cannot make a farmer sign a farm plan. They have no means of enforcement. I have a friend who refused to sign and they just eventually dropped the issue. She complied with their demands as far as fencing the animals and that sort of thing, but she refused to sign the agreement that would allow them to enter her property at will for inspection.

It sounds like it’s time for a boat trip.

Frankly, it sounds more like it's time for a "tar and feathers" party...

Hey, I thought that the Democrats were all about the right to privacy, that it was the right to privacy that made sodomy laws unenforceable.

This is tantamount to the government stationing soldiers inside your home.

just because someone exercised their rights.

...

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

Remember this prediction.

No one on this board will be alive to see this come true.

Exactly. The two sponsors of the bill claim not to have read it all the way through: they are not even pretending to have written it.

So, who did?

We really, really need to find the answer to that question.

Are the lefties really this stupid or do they actually want to start a war?

Yes and yes.

And there will be some that will get killed. I won't shed any tears for these tyrants. They can all die as far as I'm concerned.

I didn’t lose any guns in boating accident. I own them. If they want them, they had better bring body bags.

They can only kill you once.

From the linked article: "But Palmer is right — you can’t fully blame them [the NRA] , when cops going door-to-door shows up in legislation. "

As long as the cops are only following orders, what's the problem?

Heh. Mistake, right. And the next question is what they can do if they don't like your storage choice. Hmmm, confiscate it? Ya think?

Anyway the comments are pretty good and give hope.

Why do we let liberals dominate the language and hence our culture? In the hands of good people there aren’t any “assault” weapons. They are life saving equipment and should be called “defense” weapons.

Some anti-gun lobbyist paid by George Soreass and Mikey Bloomturd.

Representative Alice Hausman (D-Roseville,MN), the author of the “assault weapon” and magazine ban bills (here in MN), was not even in the room to present “her” bills to the committee. She left it to a gun control lobbyist, paid by out-of-state foundation funds, to pitch the proposals. Even the Star Tribune took note of this very irregular activity.

Hausman later admitted to a reporter from the liberal web site MinnPost.com that she “doesn’t really know anything about guns” and “just sorta signed up.”

It won’t cost anyone an election. They own the voting machines and the media. They will always win elections.

Don’t you need a warrant to inspect property?
