Black people, politicians in particular, avoid discussing the problems at the heart of Hadiya Pendleton's death, the heavy toll of black-on-black violence and the moral decay that keeps us trapped....
Empathy and social capital are absent from too many of today's black communities nationwide. In places like Chicago's South Side where violent teenage gangs have replaced the traditional family empathy is seen as a weakness and social capital is seen as that warm-and-fuzzy stuff that whites and black traitors practice.
Many African-Americans blame urban poverty for this crisis. But poverty does not explain away the lack of a moral compass, the source of the violence and general neglect that have turned our communities into dystopias.
What is there to celebrate during Black History Month?

This has been in denial for at least 4 decades. You could see it coming, just not as bad as it has turned out. Now with a 73% illegitimacy rate (and that’s after the abortions) there is impending doom. No way recovery from that, with all its societal, financial and cultural implications. Sad, but few would speak out about it, and the next ethnicity to face a similar fate will be the Latinos.
“But poverty does not explain away the lack of a moral compass, the source of the violence and general neglect that have turned our communities into dystopias.”
Urban blacks became lab rats for Dem experiments, and the disastrous results have convinced libs themselves that the blacks must be replaced with a different population (Hispanics). That plan is proceeding much faster than originally forecast; urban blacks are no longer on anyone’s radar in terms of plans for the future.
These people, like all of us need to turn to God. He has answers...in the form of a direction. We all need Him.
I had not really thought about it that way, but you are right. NOBODY is focusing on this societal problem. All I hear about is immigration this or that, amnesty, Hispanics, etc. It is as if they have simply given up and and will allow for the detroitification of the inner cites. How long until the flights stop and the walls go up?
Two points. One, most of those who need to be reading this can’t, or won’t, read.
Two, the democrat’s plan for all those abortions didn’t stop the blacks from having babies.
The 800 pound gorilla in the room is that when the law is enforced, the howls of “Racism!!” start.
Latinos are the next to face A similar fate as blacks is true. But the rest of us ain’t far behind.
We are all screwed. (unless we address it quickly)
NO ONE finds it a coincidence that a black teenager from a s—t neighborhood that has actually made something of herself, who spoke at the president’s inauguration, was LOCKED out of a school where she was allowed to be gunned down?
There was no lawsuit, or even a few choice words for the school administration or faculty from the victim’s mother? None? NO push for after school programs? nothing?
It isn’t convenient for her to be gunned down right before his state of the Union address where he officially begins his gun confiscation plans?
“It is as if they have simply given up and and will allow for the detroitification of the inner cites. How long until the flights stop and the walls go up?”
They don’t have to focus on it, beyond reducing the birthrate (which they have done handily with the welfare reform). For what it’s worth, Detroit is shrinking very quickly; there won’t be anything left to put a wall around. It will be come a nature preserve, with a “Life After People” look to it...
