Why Did McCain Rescue Hagel?
The American Spectator ^ | 2/17/13 | Aaron Goldstein

Posted on 02/17/2013 11:51:36 AM PST by Nachum

Why on earth did John McCain just rescue Chuck Hagel’s nomination? Why did he go on Meet the Press this morning to say that Chuck Hagel was going to get confirmed as Secretary of Defense? McCain argued that Hagel had the votes to be confirmed and that he didn’t want the process to be delayed further. But if that is the case then why did Bob Woodward go on Fox News yesterday to say that Democratic Senators were calling the White House to ask when Hagel was withdrawing? Now I doubt Woodward would have dropped that tidbit if there wasn’t sufficient discord

McCain pisses me off. He says Hagel isn't qualified in one breath, then says we have delayed the vote enough. Methinks the zombies have already had lunch at the McCain household. It was a very light lunch.

Never ascribe to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

And people wondered why FR started the “Just say no to RINOs/No More RINOs” campaign.
Then they mocked it.
Some of these same people then shrieked in rage later when the RINOs sold us out.

It’s patently obvious to the rest of us.

And probably someone has dirt on him.

You just saw a puppet show with the ending already known with Obama getting his way. The show was just to make you think there was a fight. There is no fight. Congress is in the hands just a empty shell of corrupt men and women.

Every single Republican that rattled cages and made noise, said they were going to confirm him regardless. This is not new or unexpected.

Yep. I just figured that out this morning,....there was never a plan to NOT confirm him. It was for political theater. Cruz is in "trouble" because he did it for real, not for show. Guess he didn't realize that whoever the president nominates, he gets confirmed. THis is the rule in the Senate.

At this point in his career, McCain would support the Viet Cong or at least their emissaries. Case in point: Kerry as Sec. Of State.

You didn't really think Obama’s best friend would vote against an Obama nominee, did you?

If the voters in AZ are not seriously considering a recall, then the AZ Republicans can all be classified as RINOs and not to be confused with their greatest Republican, Barry Goldwater. Just my opinion.

McCain lives for these moments of personal power. He engineers the surrounding circumstances in his life for these moments. It’s not about right or wrong with McCain, it’s about these moments.

And, if it hurts conservatives, all the better because he (being a “conservative”) has made a grand personal sacrifice for the good of all. Ick.

His goal of an end to the USA through unlimited Amnesty and de-facto merger with Mexico is now within sight.

Thanks Arizona - for returning this twisted little sack of betrayal and corruption to office again and again.

McCain already betrayed the POW-MIA’s and sucked up to North Vietnam many years ago. Nothing new about that, I’m afraid.

This is more about being a member of the Club. McCain feels himself a senior member of the Club and that members in good standing are deserving of the Club’s consent. Of course McCain doen’t care that this NEVER works in favor of a Republican. He feels that this identifies him as a truly bi partisan figure who rises way above the hacks. In his own way McCain is every bit as narcissistic as Barky.

Don’t EVER, EVER become deluded about the identity of John McCain.

He is an EVIL, LYING, DUPLICITOUS SNAKE. When I FIRST saw him go after Chuckie Crybaby Hagel, I was amazed. Amazed, but not deceived.

Like SO MANY people in the Republican Elite, McCain lacks the courage of conservative convictions. Just look at the witch he raised.

Unfortunate but not surprising.

And ONCE AGAIN, the enemy is NOT John McCain, as it is not Barrack Hussein Obama. Its the idiot moron voters who keep electing and re=electing this scum.

By the way, just watch McCain’s little pansy puppet tow the McCain line shortly. No more attack dog Gomer Pyle role for Lindsey Graham.

He will fold like a cheap deck of cards.

Unless conservatives can take over the GOP and eject dirtballs like this, AND Boehner AND McConnell, its all over for the Republican Party, America, the West and western civilization.

Buy your burnoose now while they are cheap.

McCain supported the group which received
the MANPAD transfer from the beginning.
This “opposition” was for show.
