It is just about a foregone conclusion that Hagel will be confirmed.

Still, it may be something of a Pyrrhic victory for the Democrats, given the fact that those who will have voted for confirmation will need to (try to) defend that vote when they run for re-election--some of them, as early as 2014...

You have to wonder if 0bama has a "Blackmail File" for each member of Congress, containing information that can be used to bribe/threaten/extort/blackmail to get them to fall in line... John Roberts' decision comes to mind.

I just don’t see a point in trying to block Hagel. Whoever becomes the secretary of defense will carry out 0bama’s same crappy policies. Blocking Hagel would accomplish squat. The real problem is 0bama.
