Pow!!!!
Freepmail to get on/off the gun talk pinglist.
Here in spirit.
Hey, I saw cheaper than dirt had ammo last time I looked.
Ammo seems to be filtering in.
Any idea of order confirmation to shipping dates? That’s the huge hold-up with 95% of all places.
How are you doing?
Did you see when Homeland Security bought all that ammo it was intended to put a run on the market?
0bama is a POS.
Bang!!
No ship dates they just say “IN STOCK at Warehouse”.
I’m fine, mom was in so much pain it was time. She went fast which was good.
Too little, too late.
Americans already have enough ammo for an extended revolution.
Hiya Dave!!!
SOB!!!!!
By golly, My range was full today.
People shooting lots of ammo!
The overseas manufacturers are going to gear up to fill the void.
Does this KIDO audio feed sound like **** or is it on my end?
Amen!!!
That’s true. 0bama funked that part up.
Reminds me of my Libtard PETA aunt I saw at the funeral this week. Sandhill Cranes are apparently now legal to hunt in KY with a permit of around 200 if she’s correct. PETA organized a drive to buy up all the permits. I told her you realize since the permits won’t be filled they will probably double next year. She got this OMG look an her face and didn’t say another word. LOLOLOLOL!!!!
Lot’s of AK ammo is available here though expensive.
What I don’t understand is the .22LR shortage.
There is none.
The is a sign on the local FFL’s door “NO .22LR, Don’t Even Ask!!”
Is DHS squirreling away .22lr?
I doubt it.
It seems to just be a run on the market.
Mail.
I ordered some 308 from Freedom Munitions on Dec. 30.
It shipped Friday.
Also I can’t find any 22 mag anywhere. I got 1000 rounds a few weeks ago, but now its all gone.
We went through about 150 rounds of 7.62x54r, 50 rounds of 9mm, and about 24 rounds of 9x18mak. (it was cold out there or I would have stayed longer.)
The more I shoot my Hi Point 9mm carbine the more I just love it. It is so damn easy to shoot and accurate!
(It'll probably send me to the poor house spraying all that 9mm.)
Sfl
I don’t understand the 22 shortage at all.
I shot lots of it today.
How much was the .308?
That has been impossible to get.
I don’t get the .22LR shortage either. Glad I bought some in bulk last summer for Pistol League.
I wonder if they will drop the rimfire round? Or centerfire for that matter. Seems like 0bama will piss off even more than he intended.
Those 9mm carbines are a hoot! It’s like a .22 with a thump.
You burned 1000 rounds of 22 mag in a few weeks? Holy $ Carp! :-O
Sfl??
308 Win 150 gr. SPBT New Box of 20 $18.29
Freedom has/had a great price but they are really behind on shipping. They even called me a couple of times to see if I still wanted it or something different. They have great customer service.
I got up not so early and headed out to meet FReepers NYTexan, BuckeyeTexan and Buckeyes Son.
We met up for major southern breakfast including chicken fried steaks, and then headed to the range.
The weather was grand, 70-72, but windier than I would have liked.
The place was packed with familys, BBQing, shooting the breeze and shooting everything from from class III to tannerite.
Much fun was had by all,
Took my daughter in law and her mother out today to shoot. Seems they both want a firearm for home protection. Not CCW, maybe later. Both are noobs. I have hanguns and shotties of most every caliber and type and I wanted them to see what they felt comfortable with.
For simplicity they both locked onto revolvers. They felt SA’s too complicated and slides were too hard.
Prolly going to go buy 3” or 4” Ruger or Smith 6 round revolvers. They liked my J Frames, but decided the bigger rosco’s were easier to aim and had more capacity.
Mother and daughter’s eyes lit up when I told them 7 shot revolvers that weren’t horribly big were also avwilable.
“You burned 1000 rounds of 22 mag in a few weeks? Holy $ Carp! :-O”
OH NO I did not. I did take the new Taurus 991 Tracker out for the first time today though and went through 200 rounds.
My goodness that thing is fun to shoot. No hiccups at all and grouped like a match contender. 9 round cylinder, adjustable rear sight for W & E. I’m really liking that revolver.
That is a good price for hunting rounds.
Guys were paying $40 a box last month and then there was none to be found.
Gosh I hope we get some milsurplus in the future.
By .308’s haven’t been shot in a very long time.
Looks like a sweet lil' carbine. How's the reliability and ease of breakdown?
We had 12 degrees F. My finger tips started feeling frostbitten in about 10 minutes.
We were definitely the first on the range. Started heating the barrels up just before sunrise!
Save for later. Lazy man’s search tool.
Hi there Springman.
I hope Tom is wrong, but that is what the PC Nazis are pushing for.
Arms for thee, but not for me.
I learn something new everyday. ☺
The first gun I bought my wife is a K frame six-shooter. She’s very good with it.
Bought her a Ruger LC9 recently but she’s struggling with it. (Racking the slide and being left-handed.)
The darn things are simple and built like tanks.
I should have grabbed one when they were $145 new.
The Sterling 9mm carbine is also a hoot, but has no way of mounting optics.
That and the long DA trigger pull. That is what I have trouble with.
Go Magpul ! If Colorado screws its law abiding citizens Magpul said on the show today they would go to TX or UT ....
Welcome to Texas if they do have to move their workforce down here.
If you get an NRA lifetime membership, will they leave you of the spamathon beggar list?
I've only had it out to shoot twice now. The owners manual says disassembly for a thorough cleaning is only required every 3000 rounds. I just swab out the bore and spray her down good with CLP.
Reliability has been 100%. No problems of any kind.
How easy/hard is field stripping a Hi Point 9mm carbine?
New in oil (not grease) Russian Nosin M44 rifles are at Wideners for $219. Really tempted to pick one up while still available, especially since these have never been issued to troops.
