Why Did McCain Rescue Hagel?
The American Spectator ^ | 2.17.13 | Aaron Goldstein

Why on earth did John McCain just rescue Chuck Hagel’s nomination?

Why did he go on Meet the Press this morning to say that Chuck Hagel was going to get confirmed as Secretary of Defense?

McCain argued that Hagel had the votes to be confirmed and that he didn’t want the process to be delayed further.

I agree with you....I think this goes back to the Hanoi Hilton.

There’s something wrong with McCain. But enough about him...why is Lindsey Graham backing off?

Today I read that some rats asked the WH to withdraw Hagel and now this? Is it possible that they want an incompetent because it will give them something to argue about in the next election? If so, wouldn’t seem worth the risk especially given all the other anti-Americans in this administration.

I believe McCain was threatened by George Soros in Sept 2008, on the Wednesday after the run on the bank - and McCain responded to it by suspending his campaign and asking for all the debates to be canceled. That was the same day GW Bush decided to give a speech to the country saying that if we didn’t pass TARP Armageddon would be upon us.

I believe that all Soros has to do is bring up that threat again, at any time, and McCain will do exactly what Soros tells him to do.

I believe the threat was another run on the bank - done by Soros’ communist-Islamist alliance which controls enough money to make good on their threats to collapse the western economy.

Nothing in McCain’s behavior suggests to me that this wasn’t the case. Soros needs the threatened critters to do things every now and then which make it appear as if they are not attached to his puppet-strings, just so the rest of us will think the process is still intact and not taken over by a foreign coup. They’ll do the dance, put on the show, but when push comes to shove none of the R’s will seriously stop the final steps of the coup that Obama is supposed to make now that he has “more flexibility”.

Possibly unlike Cruse and Paul, McCain is aware of and probably an architect of the New Republican Party as a subsidiary of the Democrat Party and functions as a Designated Opposition in order to enhance the image of the parent Democrat Party and to preclude a real opposition from coalescing.

McLame rescued Hagel because McLame is a turncoat ratfaced lowlife ba$tard! And based on everything he has done in civilian life, I’m more convinced than ever that he really was a snivelling sellout in VN, as some of our troops accused him of being.

Where there’s smoke there’s fire; and, he has never done anything in his political career that would make me think he was above selling out. To the contrary, he has done many things that only a scheming backstabbing sellout would do! Other than that I don’t have an opinion.

I want to know why no senator has asked Pvt Goober how he managed to spend ONE YEAR in the US Army back in the 60s, when the minimum enlistment was TWO YEARS. Only one year on active duty, so that means “war hero” Pvt Goober must have spent a couple of months in Vietnam and pulled a John Kerry and skated out early. So once again, show me a DD214? I think Hagel, like Kerry, got his ass kicked out of the US military. The man can’t put a coherent thought together. Now he’s gonna lead the Dept of Defense???????????????

My friends, Hagel is not qualified, but he is an honorable American and has my vote, my friend. Ted Cruz is being disagreeable and people will remember that, my friend, my friend, my friend.

You aren't my friend.

Hagel isn't honorable. And you're wrong.

I figure you aren't long for FR........

I RINO is someone who, forced to choose the lesser of two evils, bitterly regrets he can’t choose both like the average representative of the Democratic [sic] party.

Remember the 2008 nominating speech? McCain talked about how the Viet Namese “broke” him. Everyone was scratching their heads thinking “What the hell is he talking about?” The left and the media had the goods on him and had threatened to expose him.

Again, Ross Perot was wrong about a lot of things. But he couldn’t stand McCain so I give credit for that.

As for Hagel, the man is a bumbling idiot. The question is how did he ever get elected to anything?

mcain’s behavior during the congressional hearings on
the men left behind in Laos when the Vietnam war was ended
was unbelievable. (remember his fuming angry face)

He wouldn't fund the effort to find the 1000 servicemen who
were in Laos.
His wife's beer company was the first American beer country
in Vietnam when we resumed relations there.

http://www.ravens.org/Adventures/Episode9998.htm This is such a disgrace that they left those soldiers behind..

I am absolutely convinced that the Obama Administration either threatens or blackmails many members of the House and Senate. McCain is insane, of course, and one can never rely on him to take the right side, but other people (John Roberts, for instance) must have been pressured. We live under the dominion of a totalitarian despot.

this is mccain we are talking about.

he is 100% sleaze.

when the marriage amendment was about to pass in the senate, he tacked on the ridiculous flag burning amendment as a poison pill.

The second it suddenly was a demand over bengazi material, it was obviously a red herring.

is this just the MSM trying to rescue hagel or is this just another goebling of the truth with mccain playing the part of goebles.

Why did he go on Meet the Press this morning to say that Chuck Hagel was going to get confirmed as Secretary of Defense?

Perhaps saying that was just the price to get himself on Meet the Press.
