Missouri Dems: Letís Just Force Gun Owners to Surrender, Destroy Their Weapons
Town Hall ^ | 2/18/13 | Leah Barkoukis

Posted on 02/18/2013 9:26:19 AM PST by Nachum

Why wait for the supply to dry up over time when you could just force gun owners to surrender or destroy their weapons immediately? Missouri Democrats think it’s a good idea:

Democrats in the state House have proposed a bill that would force gun owners to either surrender or destroy weapons including semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines and semi-automatic pistols with a fixed magazine that can shoot more than 10 rounds before being reloaded.

Ammunition-feeding devices that can hold more than 10 rounds also would be banned. Owners also could send their weapons to another state instead of surrendering or destroying them and would have 90 days after the bill’s passage to make a decision.

While it’s highly unlikely the bill will pass in the Republican-controlled House, it is another example of Democrats’ extreme anti-gun agenda, which is being played out not just at the federal level but in state legislatures across the nation as well.

Forcing gun owners to surrender or destroy such weapons is tantamount to confiscation—so in this sense, these Dems have learned a thing or two from the Justice Department’s internal memos:

It’s a strange irony that even on uber-liberal sites like DU there is a strong contingent of pro-gun Leftards. You’d think that the ultimate goals of liberalism would cause a light to go on in their heads and abandon this openly evil, freedom-quashing ideology, but they remain nevertheless.

There is apparently a 2nd amendment supporter who is chairman of the committee these bills are submitted too. He’s promised to kill every one of these.

I saw it on Facebook but can’t seem to find it again.

Why kill it?
If you know it will be defeated, bring it to the floor and make the Dems vote on it, in the open, so that everyone knows how they voted.

The Republicans should do the opposite. They should pass a law requiring all able bodied citizens to own at least one semi-auto pistol with multiple magazines and 100 rounds, and at least one semi-auto rifle with high capacity magazines and 1000 rounds. No enforcement mechanism though, and no penalties for non-compliance. Perhaps they could throw in a tax credit good up to 5000 dollars on a dollar for dollar break for citizens who arm up.

The interesting thing about this story, and others like it from CA, NY, WA, IL, is how into the open these traitors feel they can come.

Anybody who predicted six months ago that this was what they would do if they could was called paranoid.

But, as they say, even paranoids have real enemies.

"strange irony"

The uncomfortable secret is that there are millions of gun-loving Dems. Here in Wisconsin, hundreds of thousands of loyal Dems are hunters and uh gun-nuts. Same throughout the midwest. They don't like the idea of anyone taking their guns as much as conservative Republicans. In fact hoity-toity, snooty east coast Pubbies probably hate guns more than blue-collar Democrats.

Well that's mighty big of them, since they have no jurisdiction to say otherwise anyway.

Do you think there has ever been a victim of a home invasion who has said to themselves afterwards "Damn, I had too many rounds. Turned out I only needed 10 so I had 20 left over. What was I thinking?"

The fact that the bill in question has zero chance of passage ought not comfort anyone who still cares about freedom.

Increasingly, the masks are falling from the faces of people who yet refer to themselves as "Democrats", when in fact they are totalitarians-in waiting. Your freedom is their obstacle.

If there was a record of the owner’s having legally bought a now banned weapon, then the authorities could have probable cause to get a search warrant to turn over every stone on the property to find it. Out of state storage would create a whole new business opportunity for someone to open a commercial armory facility to store out of state owners’ weapons.............

That is exactly right. Great Leader and the democrats did not tell us they were going to try to confiscate guns. Had they been honest about their intentions, we would have a different president today.

Gun owners should send Democrats to another state at gun point or let them surrender, renounce their party and give them 90 days after the bill is defeated to make a decision.

Democrats forget they have to BUY these items at FAIR MARKET VALUE.

Where is the federal government going to obtain over 1 billion dollars to buy the item, ammo, and anything else associated?

My take is they think they’re going to get a pass. Look at the big tard states and you’ll find the Pretty People can get guns if they want them. The same reasoning applies here. All tards view themselves as the upper crust, movers/shakers, pure ideologically and therefore require tools not necessary for the Clingers. After all, once guns are outlawed, someone will be needed to keep the Clingers in line by force.
