A woman who said she fatally shot another motorist only when he attacked her after a traffic accident last year has been indicted on a murder charge.
Authorities didn't charge 23-year-old Crystal Scott immediately after the shooting death last year of Jonathan Ables, but Harris County grand jurors apparently concluded there were still enough unanswered questions for the case to go to trial.

This woman's NAACP attorney and black activist pastor who is/was active in the Justice for Trayvon Martin movement, complains about her murder indictment, but she got something that George Zimmerman was denied -- a Grand Jury.

It took five months but the Grand Jury brought back an indictment for Murder.

Scott had been driving recklessly and hit Ables vehicle and they both pulled off into a gas station to exchange insurance information as is required by law.
He parked 125 feet from her and as he walked over to her vehicle, instead of getting out of her vehicle with her insurance information she reached into the glove box for her CHL permitted gun -- not her insurance information -- and waited behind the tinted windows of her car for him to get close enough.
He was approaching her car expecting an exchange of insurance cards and perhaps some heated words but she had something else in store for him.
When he got toward the front of her car, she then fired at him -- one shot from within the car that went into the window frame shattering the window as can be clearly seen by the pictures of her side window.
This woman, so fearful for her life, then exited the vehicle, and as Ables backed up away from her car with his hands up in the air, pleading for her to put the gun away, chased him down, and fired three more times, two of them hitting him in the chest, killing him 30-40 feet from the car.
Her cock n bull story about firing in self defense is pure Queen Letitia NAACP fabrication. This was murder 1 -- first degree premeditated murder.
She was parked there because of an accident caused by her and by law she was required to get out of her vehicle or roll the window down and exchange insurance information with him.
What was she doing still sitting in the car as he walked 125 feet over to her vehicle??? What did she think she was parked there for??? a lube job??? a Jimmy John delivery??? a handshake and a smile???
She knows the drill. She should have been out of her vehicle, insurance card in hand, and met him half way -- but she had other plans.
She could have driven away if she wanted but she chose to ambush him as he approached her car. And the first shot that sent him retreating still wasn't enough for her as it was him -- not her -- who was then in fear for his life.
She then exited the vehicle, gun in hand, chased him down, and shot him twice in the chest as he backed away with his hands up.
The only question is why it took so long to get this in front of a Grand Jury, and how far will the BGI go in this case to try to turn the facts upside down as they have in the Trayvon Martin case.
I'm sure her lawyer has Benjamin Crump on speed dial and they are prepping several "DeeDees" for their prefabricated testimonials which have become par for the course.
Good summary. I remember the initial reports, and my impression was that, with the Trayvon Martin coverage so recent, she probably thought she could murder him, and then claim “stand your ground” and just automatically get away with it. That’s what the all the race hustlers were telling black people, and one of them apparently believed it.
What you need to do is repost it and add discussion about THAT CASE, and not some other case.
But you know that already ~ just something I can always count on you about ~ dishonesty in conduct of the debate.
Now, for the secret info ~ do you have the grand jury indictment

The system quit reporting anything since Feb 17 ~ now it's relented. Must be JR has gotten everything reloaded ~ sorry, your post on the GrandJury just wasn't there yesterday ~ and your immediate reference to the Z-man would have had me not look at it anyway ~ which is one of the reasons i'm pretty sure I didn't see it earlier ~
HOUSTON (KTRK) — A woman indicted for murder over a road rage shooting had her case delayed Monday.
Crystal Scott was supposed to make her first court appearance, but her attorney says the judge reset the case to give the defense more time to investigate.
Scott says she and Jonathan Ables were in a fender bender in September 2012. Scott says Ables beat on her window, then opened her door.
Scott has a concealed handgun license and says she feared for her life when she shot and killed Ables.
“It was man against a young woman. A fight that she felt like she would never be able to overcome. She did what she had the right to do and that is to protect herself,” said defense attorney Letitia Quinones.
Ables’ family says that they do not agree with Scott’s story and that Ables’ alleged actions were not in his nature.
Scott’s new court date is April 4.

In other words she needs more time to work on her narrative. The one she has been using would get laughed out of court.
