Press: As if media bias weren't troublesome enough, the ascent of President Obama's top strategist to a plum job at NBC creates an even bigger issue: that of the political establishment becoming the press. Where does it end?
In a way, the hiring of David Axelrod as "senior political analyst" providing commentary at NBC seems like a fool's errand from a business standpoint.
After all, the White House senior adviser has pretty much been giving NBC and other big media outlets commentary for free during the Obama administration, if the slavish pro-Obama media bias, as well as secretive media-political collaborations such as the "JournoList" listserv are any indication.
But we doubt this is really about Axelrod's "keen insights into the political process" or however the public relations department intends to market it.

The MSM is the number one enemy we are facing as a people. Everything must be done to discredit and weaken it.
This is one reason why fewer people watch NBC than Univision.

I’m not sure what the problem is. Tony Snow bounced back and forth between the White House under both Bushes and guest hosting for Rush. Dana Perino is still working as a Fox commentator. The relationship between the press and former White House staffers has been around for 50 years.
People claim the MSM are the Propaganda Wing of the Democrat Party.

Are you serious, newbie? David Axelrod is the senior political operative for Barack Obama. He is well known in Chicagoa as a communist, raised by communist parents. He is still active behind the scenes for Obama. He is as slimy as they come, having worked to force open Obama opponent’s divorce records and such to help Obama steal elections in Illinois. Dana Perino and the late Tony Snow are not even in the same zip code of political sleaziness or operations as David Axelrod.
Where in my reply does it say “I <3 David Axelrod?” I was making a perfectly valid comparison about media figures moving back and forth between the White House and news organizations. Give your outrage a rest, and don’t forget to take your Lopressor.
