How would you feel if you received a letter from the U.S. Government informing you that because of a physical or mental condition that the government says you have it is proposing to rule that you are incompetent to handle your own financial affairs? Suppose that letter also stated that the government is going to appoint a stranger to handle your affairs for you at your expense? That would certainly be scary enough but it gets worse.
What if that letter also stated: A determination of incompetency will prohibit you from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting a firearm or ammunition. If you knowingly violate any of these prohibitions, you may be fined, imprisoned, or both pursuant to the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act, Pub.L.No. 103-159, as implemented at 18, United States Code 924(a)(2).?
That makes is sound like something right from a documentary on a tyrannical dictatorship somewhere in the world. Yet, as I write this I have a copy of such a letter right in front of me. It is being sent by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Americas heroes. In my capacity as Executive Director of the United States Justice Foundation (USJF) I have been contacted by some of these veterans and the stories I am getting are appalling.

The first people Lenin got rid of at the start of the Bolshevic Revolution was former military and police. After WW1 returning soldiers had their firearms and were asked to turn them in since the war was over. They complied. And died.
I have sent an email to the author of the original article and requested a copy of the letter. If he sends it I’ll post it, somehow.
At my VA we have to go through metal detectors and remove our belts as we are scanned and examined.
I also notice no Christian symbols or signs of it’s existence, but plenty of new age humanist posters and collections/symbols in individual offices, and I had to complain about one staff member Islamic Evangelist trying to convert me.
it is easy,
No such thing as a fair fight.
Do you doubt the authenticity or just want to see the whole letter?
the only way the bastards exist is because they think honest people will remain honest.
There is a reason for that.
and the way the bastards cease to exist will be because they don't understand honest people will remain true
Even if you do, though, it shouldn’t nullify due process.
Even if you do, though, it shouldnt nullify due process.
Unfortunately, you will have to have a few hundred thousand dollars laying around and a decade or so to fight your taxpayer funded lawyers! They won’t nullify due process, they’ll just make it a long and painful process.
I retired over 10 years ago and I’ve never been to the VA. Never will.
I am a Korean war vet....No hero did my job went where they sent me a trooper (ex airborne) bla bla bla.... Go to VA hospitals where they have the facilities they send me to keep me alive and they are doing so.
And honestly met only very dedicated good people but there are a few. Never was told no gun for you no metal detectors when I go where they send me .Never used pot but know guys who have mental conditions.Byour local and state laws if you are fd up they are required by law and should deny you having a piece and I suspect that ‘s where this is comming from.
Let me says something about the month off sequesteresd B/S your hearing sbout...They get paid back (recompenced) after the B/S is over with.
Always have to check your sources. I have a copy of the letter now, and if you want a copy of it all you have to do is email the gentlemen in question and he’ll send it to you, but he asked that I not post it here.
