PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) The 25-year-old father who said he shot and killed two men who broke into his Prospect-area home Sunday morning told CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil he did not know the men he killed.
The man said he and his two-year-old son were sleeping when he heard a loud crash inside his home off Route 460 early Sunday morning. The man said he grabbed a handgun and left his room to investigate. Soon he found three men inside his home.
The men exchanged gunfire that lasted less than a minute, the man said.
One of the intruders died in the mans home, a second man died in the front lawn. The third suspect got away from the home.

Never be afraid to pass along GOOD news!
That’s some good shootin’, Tex!
How many bullets did he use?
more than ten?
If three break into my home, my earnest prayer will be that not one of them leaves unless accompanied by the morgue personnel.
According to a WWBT report:
“Investigators say that the suspect fled on foot about a quarter of a mile west of the home. The search dogs tracked his scent that far. The man is then believed to have gotten in some sort of vehicle, and taken off on Route 460. There is no description yet of the car that he may have taken.”
Also, the homeowner is described as a 25 year old man with a 2 year old son. The home invaders fired their gun or guns at him as well.
Agreed, but he let one get away. Had he had a high-capacity mag & AR it might have been a clean sweep.
Oh, and just an observation: It appears this is a case of media-PC-creep once again. They only fail to mention details about the deceased when it besmirches one or more particular races...
I believe it was the Prophet Meatloaf who said:
Two out of three ain’t bad.
