  • Deport illegal aliens on contact with LE.
  • Enforce the law vigorously on employers of illegals.
  • Strong border security. Build the physical fence and use high-tech surveillance.
  • Eliminate entitlements for illegal aliens except for true emergency care.
  • End the "anchor baby" policy.

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves at their own expense.

Hmm. Is not that Mexico’s current policy, with only a few deviations?

Obama Gains Latino Approval on Immigration
4:07PM Thursday
February 21, 2013

(WASHINGTON) — To date, 63 percent of Latinos approve of President Obama’s handling of immigration — that’s up from November 2011 when only 28 percent felt the same, according to a study released Thursday by the Pew Research Center.

Unfortunately, not strong enough

RE: Employers - fine of $1M/per, adjusted for inflation
RE: Entitlements - they are Unconstitutional to begin with, they shouldn’t even be an option for any illegal, regardless of circumstance.
RE: Anchors - moot point if they followed the actually verbiage of the 14th. But, much like the 2nd, they’ve bastardized the language enough that the condition of ‘and subject to the jurisdiction thereof’ means as much as the 9th/10th Amendments.

Not enough for what? If those things were implemented there wouldn’t be a million illegals in this country. There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that those things will be done though so I guess you might as well be totally unreasonable.

Exactly.

Now, if I was being ‘unreasonable’, I’d have made it a point that they/Country of origin pays for the return, and those deported micro-stamped.

If we can’t get D.C. to enforce their own laws, what the hell are we complaining about when the GOPe continues to go Dem-lite??

Reasonable or not your suggestions do nothing to further a real solution. They aren't really harsher than current laws for the most part either.

RE: Employers - fine of $1M/per, adjusted for inflation

I don't know how fines range but current law includes criminal sanctions ie prison time.

RE: Entitlements - they are Unconstitutional to begin with, they shouldn’t even be an option for any illegal, regardless of circumstance.

If you would deny anyone true emergency care then you're worse than an illegal alien. You're a monster.

RE: Anchors - moot point if they followed the actually verbiage of the 14th.

That's a moot point since we have SCOTUS decisions that support the current anchor baby policy. Congress can change that thus my recommendation.

I’d have made it a point that they/Country of origin pays for the return, and those deported micro-stamped.

A useless waste of taxpayer money. Employ the things I listed and they will self-deport en-mass and pay for it themselves. It's redundant and self-punitive to make legal requirements for repayment from the country of origin.

IMHO, dismantle the welfare system and the illegal immigration problem disappears.

Current law is routinely flouted and side-stepped. Hitting them in the wallets will do much more than a simple plea-out, if they’re prosecuted at all.

Monster? So I’m a slave to those who break our laws with impunity? Let their own country take care of their own Citizens. If that makes me a ‘monster’, so be it, I won’t be losing any sleep.

SCOTUS is not the final arbiter of the Law, We the People are the beginning and end. Congress doesn’t have the stones to pass a real CUT in the budget, but you expect them to follow the Constitution, as written??

Redundant? Self punitive? What’s stopping the multi-border jumper these days? Continual re-deportation? Bad enough the drain on our healthcare/education system, let alone the auto accident problems....Hell, might as well give them a how-to apply for ‘benefits’ in their own language. Wait, what? We already do? Make it hurt on the originating end and maybe they’ll start fixing their own problems instead of exporting them here.

Yes, anyone who would deny true emergency care is a monster.

What’s stopping the multi-border jumper these days?

No motivation. I already went over that.

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves at their own expense.

I will have to disagree with the anchor baby statement. The Supreme Court DID NOT rule on whether the child of 2 illegal aliens is or is not a citizen.

The supreme Court ruled in Wong Kim Ark that the chid of legal permanent residents was a US citizen. Sorry that is not the same as 2 illegal alien parents.

The only person who can change that situation now is a Governor. A Governor with a very large package simply instructs their vital statistics department to deny a bc or a bc with a disclaimer on it and wa-la you go to the Supreme Court for a ruling. Call your Governor’s office make an appointment and see if he will do it.

OK, I stand corrected on that. Congress could settle it for every state by simply legislating that children born to illegal aliens will not be considered citizens.

See but I don’t think that will work. I believe someone up there puts that bill in every session and it never makes it to the floor for a vote. hmmmm I wonder why. The state houses are just as bad.

I really think the way to go is through your Governor and ask him if he has the stuff to change the policy which will force a ruling.

Of course if we legalize 11 million we are done anyway. In 10 years we won’t need another amnesty because we will have open borders. its now or never.

The fed gov’t has no right nor obligation to extend aid and comfort to any/all illegal aliens, regardless of ‘need’. ‘True emergency’ to those whom make the rules would quickly become ‘subject had a headache/hang nail/could not buy taco’. Give your own money, otherwise, it’s not yours/theirs to give.

No motivation = 2nd point moot. Selective enforcement, as currently is the case, begets up nothing TODAY; how do you propose to make them enforce the law? What punishment if they don’t?

My top repeal would, IMHO, most likely do most of this in one fell swoop; and reduce our debt in the process...Dismantle the Unconstitutional welfare state.

Please, continue supporting the same party that’s now championing for the illegals...much different than what you say we’re debating here, as neither listens to those whom put them into office.

You may, or may not, continue to reply. Your time is of no concern to me. But your ideals of your party growing a spine after bending over backwards are, IMHO, sorely misplaced.

Might I suggest you look more into those 3rd parties you so easily chastise. They would at least be more honest to tell you what they plan to (not) do than the current gaggle who would be much more likely to stab you in the back than take a verbal lashing from their herd.
