We are a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy. It doesn’t even matter what polling shows. If the Democrats throw away the legal processes required to achieve what they want to amend the U.S. Constitution, and pass unconstitutional laws restricting Second Amendment Rights, there is nothing binding the states to the federal government anymore. The Constitution will be dead you F*ing morons! We are already hearing the death rattle.

I never thought that I’d see the day that I’d become an active recruiter for the NRA. I’m telling everyone to join the NRA because it’s not only gun ownership at stake here. We are defending the Bill of Rights. ALL of the Bill of Rights. So far, I’ve been pretty successful with convincing people to join.
It’s ironic, but in 1775 our forefathers started a revolution against their government over far less tyranny and oppression than what we suffer under today. Far less.
Our forefathers would have been shooting by now.
However, I suspect that if and when the government comes for the guns things will get hot.
Also remember that when the pollies say they want to “get illegal guns off the streets”, they really mean “confiscate legally owned guns from citizens’ homes”.
With a footnote of “homes of gun owners who’ll never vote for me so I’m going to screw them right back!”

When Odumbo sends his first crew to take away guns and those who try doing so are shot at or worse, killed, all hell will break loose. I dread that day coming as it will pit friends agains’t friends, neighbors agains’t neighbors and brothers agains’t brothers. Another “civil war” will be upon us. And for what, the knee jerk reaction of politicians who are unable to lead, debate, solve real problems or compromise? Politicians who see themselves as “GODs”? Not in my book!

I helped to produce the video. It’s an effort to lift the debate from Newtown “small ball” to the big leagues of state democide, where these efforts at “reasonable and commonsense” gun control laws always lead to death by the million in the end.
I think this is going to be like the “gay marriage” paradigm, where the public does not want it, but legislators, governors and judges do, so defy the public will, create it anyway, forcing the public to expend great effort to overturn it, if they can. While being fought every inch of the way by the minority that wants it.

when that day finally does come, it will be US against THEM, and whoever Them is, will deserve it...
It is my belief that they will just issue felony warrants on all known gun owners and depend upon the state troopers, et al to bring you in. Once you drive to work or take a Sunday drive with the family, all the police have to do is run your plate, see the outstanding warrant, and pull you over or call for backup.
You gonna risk a firefight with your family in the car? You wanna get out of jail? Turn in turn in your gun.

it has to do with the fact the document in question was hand written and double “s” - ss - was writen so it appeared as - ff - but was actually the double long version of “s”. Double “ff” has a cross bar but the double “ss” does not. So, Cletus darling...you misspelled the word when you used “f”.
Some letters written in that particular letter style, sometimes called ‘Italic’, have different versions: “g” has two styles; the combination of “ts” has a connection that makes it appear tall, as does the double “tt”.

As I've ranted in similar threads concerning amending the Constitution, please consider the following.
Constitution-ignoring Democrats have to keep the Constitution's Article V amendment process out of the public agenda. This is because they cannot afford for Constitution-ignorant voters to be made aware that only the states, not the federal government, can ratify proposed amendments to the Constitution, the states thus having absolute control over the federal government. After all, if such knowledge became widespread then it would undoubtedly throw a monkey wrench into the Democratic agenda to unconstitutionally centralize government power in DC.
I looked-can find only one law in the Constitution about them guns......all the rest are repugnant to the Constitution therefore null and void.

Years ago I read an article someone wrote laying out his opinion that "gun control" was not about safety/violence/guns or anything like that. It was about punishment.
It was simply an easy way for the left to severely punish the right for their being so wrongheaded and refusing to correct their thinking. They knew it was something we cared very deeply about, so that made it the perfect thing to attack.
Nor can I. I lived in Colorado for 5 years as a kid, (1955-60) and it was a very western sort of place. I had a blast doing stuff that is probably very illegal there now.
I get the impression it is the decay of Denver that is the root of it all. Read about the Amish mobs targeting people downtown, the illegals running amok, etc.
Other otherwise normal states like Oregon have similar issues where one large city dominates the political climate in spite of the nature of the people.

All you knew then was what the news media fed you. That Randy Weaver was a member of a neo nazi racist organization that sold illegal weapons and was holed up in his compound after shooting and killing federal agents sent to legally arrest him for his crimes.
The news media during Waco told us that Koresh was an extremist religious cult leader that manufactured drugs, sold illegal weapons, had a harem of young girls and abused children. He and his cult members opened fire on government agents sent to legally arrest him for his crimes and killed them in an ambush.
In response to these actions we held hearings and the facts came out. The hearings didn't come to the conclusions that some of us thought they should, but in the end the public was satisfied that the problems with the government were solved.
The federal government declaring that every one in the state of Texas, Idaho or Pennsylvania that owns a gun is now a felon and can now be arrested or shot is a whole different can of worms. There won't be any waiting...waiting... waiting. It will be tick, tick, tick.
unfortunately I think it is not only the denver/boulder influence, but the influx of illegals. I hardly recognize the place sometimes. The southern burbs are still deep blue though. Sheriff Weaver of douglas county ( where I live) is one of the sheriffs pledging to fight illegal limitation of second amendment rights.

They would have been shooting decades ago. The difference today obviously is the weaponry. In 1775 it was pretty much the same across the board. Today with SWAT teams and everything else the military has at it’s disposal, when it comes to the point of standing or surrendering, you pretty much know you will die. You can defend yourself and family against looters if properly armed, but not an all out on-slaught from the government. We’ll die with dignity and a patriotic heart, or die with shame knowing we surrendered as a coward.

Wrong again some more. The miracles of two-way radio communications, outbanding, and SWL has for some, kept the government under scrutiny for a long, long time. It is only recently that alternative comms (www for one) have begun educating many more towards a critical mass which will start the next chapter in our histories.
They (governments) aren’t deceieving as large a percentage of people who now are looking about for a standard and leaders-more so each time an election is stolen and an unconstitutional law is foisted upon us. A change is coming, no quarter will be the watchword. I swore to The Constitution. YMMV

I don’t know; history is replete with examples showing just the opposite. Let’s just hope we as a nation can step back from the abyss, that we never get to the point where that history must repeat itself. Though getting to that point seems more inevitable day by day.
