LAS VEGAS -- Police announced Saturday that they have identified an SUV and a suspect in the shooting death of an Oakland rapper on the Las Vegas Strip, which led to a fatal car crash involving a Maserati and taxi.
Las Vegas police said a black Range Rover SUV was found Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex east of the Strip and has since been impounded as evidence.
Police are looking for 26-year-old Ammar Harris, who they believed fired the shots in the incident early Thursday. Harris' arrest history in Las Vegas, which is extensive and violent, according to police, includes charges of kidnapping and pandering.
Harris is described as a black male adult, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Harris also goes by the name of Ammar Asim Faruq Harris, as well as variations of that name, police said.
He is considered armed and dangerous. He has several distinctive tattoos, including a heart-shaped tattoo below his right eye and a large owl tattoo on his neck.
The driver of the Maserati, aspiring rapper and former Oakland resident Kenneth Cherry, Jr., a.k.a. Kenny Clutch, was killed by the gunfire.

Anyone can be an "aspiring rapper" - even me. Tell me, how does an "aspiring rapper" - ie. unemployed punk afford a car with a sticker price on the north side of $130,000??? Hmm, you don't think he could have a sideline career in recreational pharmaceuticals do you? Oh but the liberal MSM would never report that - doesn't fit with the image. He's the struggling up and coming hero here, it is that bad gun that cut his life short.

Code words for Black Criminal. It’s beyond sad that two innocent bystanders died along with this trash. LVPD is good at killing those who carry weapons. In this particular instance, I hope they are successful!
Who around here knows how to translate gang tattoos? The heart seems particularly suspicious.
Shoot, that's easy. He's the one in the Range Rover, right? That identifies him as a serious ecologically concerned environmentalist. The tats signify his particular concerns over the fate of the Spotted Owl and that m'eff'er in the gas guzzling Maserati clearly had a more cavalier attitude regarding said creature and deserved anything that befell him.
Eye-heart-owl, not just a philosophy, it's a call to action!
The news headline should have read:
SUV, suspect identified in shooting that led to death of two innocent victims in taxi cab.
Then buried in article: Aspiring rapper and somewhat successful pimp also killed.
They are making a celebrity out of this piece of trash.

D'oh! Well now it makes sense why the "green" taxi necessarily exploded... it was a martyr for the cause.

It doesn't say whether or not he was convicted. But, one wonders, why was this guy even out on the street in the first place?

One might ask why a venue appealing instead to older, wealthier fans of Frank Sinatra or Elvis was not opened, instead.
And MGM executives cannot give you the honest answer: that without big-spenders connected to the drug and other criminal trades the Strip's revenues would be considerably smaller, so they must extract as much cash as possible from this demographic to survive. The drug economy is a major plank propping up the overall US economy.
Many a US Senator might give the same answer about his campaign funding sources, if put under interrogation.
Identified, and impounded. The streets are safe once again.
It's a shame Clutch couldn't have gotten off a mortal round himself before expiring. The real victims in this story are the dead cab driver and his passenger who had nothing to do with whatever beef these two pimps had with each other.
I'd rather someone just shoot him dead.

LOL! The SUV is guilty of aiding and abetting. The trial for the SUV is going to be a real hoot. It’s going to be funnier watching them find a cell big enough to incarcerate the SUV in.
A tear drop under the eye signifies a successful killing....
Maybe a small heart is the same designation for a different gang.
